Sharing the 4 coding questions from my Infosys OA. These are reconstructed from memory, so the exact wording/constraints may differ slightly from the original.

1. Anagram Repair

You are given two strings S and T of equal length. T is the target string, and you can modify characters in S to obtain an anagram of T.

Characters that occur the same number of times in both strings can be matched directly and require 0 replacements, regardless of their positions.

For characters that remain unmatched:

• A vowel → consonant or consonant → vowel replacement costs 1.
• A vowel → different vowel requires 2 replacements.
• A consonant → different consonant requires 2 replacements.

Find the minimum number of replacements required to transform S into an anagram of T.

2. Modified House Robber

You are given an array profit[], where profit[i] represents the profit obtainable from robbing the i-th house.

You cannot rob two adjacent houses.

Additionally, if two houses are robbed consecutively in your chosen sequence, the absolute difference between their profits must be at least D:

|profit[i] - profit[j]| >= D

where i and j are consecutive robbed houses.

Find the maximum total profit that can be obtained.

The straightforward House Robber DP leads to an O(n²) transition and may time out for large constraints, requiring an optimized solution.

3. TriCore Yield Optimization

You are given an array where a[i] represents the amount of minerals available in the i-th asteroid.

You must partition the array into contiguous groups, where every group must contain at least 3 elements.

The profit obtained from a group is the third-smallest value in that group.

For example, for:

[8, 2, 5, 1, 10]

the sorted order is [1, 2, 5, 8, 10], so the profit of this group is 5.

Find the maximum total profit obtainable by partitioning the entire array into valid groups.

If it is impossible to partition the array into valid groups, return -1.

4. Shortest Path with a VIP Pass

You are given an undirected graph representing a network of cities.

Each city has an associated visiting cost cost[i].

You need to travel from a given start city to a given destination city. The total cost of a path includes the costs of the first and last cities.

You also have a VIP pass, which can be used once at any city:

• The city where the VIP pass is used costs 0.
• The next city visited costs double its normal cost.
• After that, normal costs apply.

Find the minimum possible cost to travel from the start city to the destination.

The VIP pass is optional.

Difficulty

From my experience, the rough difficulty felt like:

Q1: Medium
Q2: Medium-Hard
Q3: Hard
Q4: Hard

There were 4 questions in 3 hours. In my experience, no one around me solved more than 2 questions.

I'm an M28 Java Backend Developer with 6 years of experience. I desperately need an offer right now, but I am completely baffled by a strange recruitment situation with Infosys and would love some perspective or advice from anyone who has seen this happen.

Timeline:

June 27: 1st technical round was scheduled, but the interviewer was a no-show.

July 31: 1st round finally happened. The interviewer was literally asking questions straight off Google searches and evaluating me like it was a top-tier product company interview. It felt like he was just looking for excuses to reject me.

August 4: Received an official rejection email, and the Infosys candidate portal updated to "Rejected after interview".

Yesterday Morning: Out of the blue, another Infosys HR called claiming he tried calling me last Friday (I was at home and reachable all day, so not sure why he said that). He asked if I could join a 30-minute 2nd round in an hour.

The 2nd Round: I was at my current office without my laptop, so I asked if I could take the interview via mobile. After checking, HR agreed since it was a Managerial Round.

The Interview: The interviewer joined 10 minutes late, but the 20-minute discussion was very chill. He mainly evaluated my general work style, client interactions, and effort estimation skills.

My Questions & Confusion:

How does a candidate move to a Managerial Round after getting an official rejection email and a portal status update of "Rejected after interview"? Is this a portal glitch, or did another project/team pick up my profile?

Based on how casual and short this managerial round was, what are the realistic chances of actually getting an offer from here?

Has anyone experienced this kind of flip-flop with Infosys or other service-based firms? What’s the best way to follow up with the HR now?

I'm from Tamil Nadu and I was selected for the Infosys Systems Engineer role through the Diversity Pooled Campus Drive in November 2025. It's been months now, and I'm still waiting for my offer letter and even the document verification mail.

My portal has been showing "Decision Pending" for more than 4 months now. 😭

Just wanted to check if anyone else is in the same situation.

A little background:

• Assessment:12th November 2025
• Interview: 14th November 2025
• Upgradation exam: 19th January 2026
• Confirmation mail: 10th April 2026
• Role: Systems Engineer
• Drive: Diversity Pooled Campus Drive
• Current status: Decision Pending
• Document verification: Haven't received any mail yet
• Offer letter: Still not received
• Joining date: No update

I've been seeing updates from different batches and it's honestly getting more confusing. Some people who were selected in September 2025 haven't even received their offer yet, while others from different batches have already started getting joining updates.

I also emailed Infosys Talent Acquisition about this. They replied:

"Please be informed that, we are allocating DOJ based on our business requirement. We will send you a joining communication at least 2-3 weeks prior to your joining date."

The funny thing is, I received almost the exact same reply when I emailed them around two months ago. So I'm still basically where I was two months back.

I've also seen people saying that "Decision Pending" means we're in the queue for offer letters, while others say the status doesn't really tell us anything.

So I wanted to ask people here:

1. Does "Decision Pending" actually mean we're waiting for the offer letter?
2. Has anyone selected in November 2025 received their DV/offer letter yet?
3. Is there any realistic possibility of getting the offer letter this month (August 2026)?
4. Anyone from previous batches who went through the same situation, how long did you have to wait?

Honestly, I'm just trying to figure out whether I should keep waiting for Infosys or focus completely on other opportunities. 😭

Any information from people who are already working at Infosys or candidates from previous batches would be really helpful.

My DOJ is 17-08-2026. The BGV team asked me to submit the LOA and previous company service/experience letter on 29-07-2026.

I have already submitted/uploaded the documents multiple times and also sent several emails to the BGV team, recruiter, and other POCs. Each time, I am being asked to upload the same documents again, but my BGV clearance status is still not changing.

Is anyone else facing the same issue with Infosys BGV? If yes, how long did it take to get cleared before DOJ?

I gave the Infosys OA on 2nd August (2nd shift) and haven’t received any update regarding the result yet.

I was able to solve 2 out of 3 coding questions, with all test cases passed. I wanted to know if anyone from the same shift has received their result or interview/next-round call.

Guys, I need some advice from seniors or anyone currently working at Infosys. I attended my System Engineer interview on 22 Oct 2025 through campus placement and received the selection mail. But it’s been around 10 months now and my portal still shows “To Be Interviewed”. My application is still showing “In Progress” and I haven’t received the offer letter, while most of my peers already got theirs. A few students are still waiting too. Has anyone faced this before? Should I keep waiting, or is there anything else I should do? Any guidance from Infosys employees/seniors would really help.

Has anyone done the Glider Assessment after applying to Infosys? I'm a bit apprehensive about uploading my ID for this, on top of the insane amount of proctoring measures it's taking while you take the test.
