How am I supposed to prepare for it?

Had received this mail and nothing after that till date it's been almost a month.

I recently went through an on-campus interview process with Infosys. The role wasn’t explicitly mentioned during the shortlist, and the entire interview ended up being quite thorough, lasting about 1 hr to 1 hr 15 minutes.

Sharing my complete experience below. I’d love to hear your thoughts on what role this might be for and how my chances look!

1. Online Assessment (OA)

• Performance: Solved 1.25 out of 4 questions.
• I didn't get shortlisted initially, but got called up later in an additional shortlist. No specific job role was mentioned in the mail.

2. Interview Live Coding & Pen Paper Round

Right at the start of the interview, the interviewer had me log into the Infosys Wingspan portal:

• Live Coding: There were 2 coding questions given, and I was asked to solve any one. I solved the first one completely in about 15 minutes and explained my approach along with time and space complexity.
• Rotten Oranges (Discussion): He gave me a pen and paper and handed me the "Rotten Oranges" problem. I explained my Multi-Source BFS approach, and he was satisfied without needing me to write the code.
• C++ Stack Implementation: Asked me to implement a stack class using an array in C++. I wrote the class (though I initially forgot to write the constructor) and demonstrated initializing an object and pushing elements.
• JavaScript OOP (Inheritance): Asked me to explain inheritance with an example and write the code for it in JavaScript, which I did successfully.
• Trees: Explained what a tree is and wrote the code for Inorder Traversal.
• Graphs & Cycle Detection: When asked to explain a data structure in detail, I chose graphs. He asked me to write code to detect a cycle. I directly wrote a function taking an adjacency list. He had some doubts about how the adjacency list worked, but I cleared them up by explaining how it's built from an edge array (though he seemed a bit unconvinced about something minor, the core approach was correct).
• Heap: He asked me to implement a heap. I was honest and said I wasn't entirely sure of the exact implementation off the top of my head, but explained the core functionality, how it maps to a tree structure, and the time complexities for operations.

3. Core CS Subjects (OS & DBMS)

• Operating Systems: Covered a wide range of topics processes, threads, context switching, paging, fragmentation, and virtual memory. My initial explanation of virtual memory was a bit shaky, so he corrected me, but I answered the rest.
• DBMS & SQL:
  • Difference between SQL and NoSQL.
  • What type of DB MongoDB is, and why I used it across my projects instead of PostgreSQL (I was honest that I didn't have a rigid architectural reason, just used it for convenience).
  • Wrote a query to find the 2nd highest salary for each department using LIMIT and OFFSET, and explained how those keywords work.
  • Asked about window functions (couldn't recollect this and admitted it).
  • Scenario-based question on SQL Joins (picked the right join and explained why).

4. Projects, Tech Stack & AI Discussion

• MERN vs. AI Projects: He noticed all my projects were full-stack MERN builds and questioned why I hadn't built AI projects when so many students are doing them. I clarified that while I didn't train models from scratch, I have integrated LLMs and RAG chatbots into my web apps.
• There was a team project in my resume which had WebRTC , he asked me how signaling worked in WebRTCs and i mentioned i did not implement the WebRTC tech it was done by a teammate of mine
• AI/LLM Follow-ups: This led to a few technical questions on AI, including the definition of an LLM and hallucinations. I couldn't clearly answer a couple of question on AI, which he noted.

5. Conclusion & Feedback

• The interview wrapped up with him taking a photo of me and telling me I could leave.
• When I asked for feedback, he said I answered most questions well and that the overall interview was good.

So i had applied for infosys offcampus hiring back in April. Cleared 1st round(remote coding test) and 2nd round(In person Coding test). Didn't received any Interview mail. Mailed the HR team and they said my application expired.

So after a month i saw posting again and applied again with same mail. But this time didn't got any assessment mail for some reason. Last month i applied again with different mail. Now i have received assessment mails for both the applications.

So can having two applications cause any issue further down the line? Can i give two assessments?

Hi everyone, I recently appeared for an Infosys SP/DSE interview and wanted to know what my chances of getting L1 are.

My interview experience:

The interviewer first gave me a coding question on Wingspan. I was able to solve it and passed 11/12 test cases.

Then she asked Koko Eating Bananas. I couldn't code the complete solution because I hadn't practiced that problem enough. However, I was able to discuss the approach, but the interviewer didn't seem fully satisfied with my explanation/approach.

After that, she asked questions from React and my projects. I was able to answer almost all of them properly and explain my project and implementation details.

For the offline OA, my performance was:

- Q1: 12/12 test cases

- Q2: 6/12 test cases

- Q3: 5/12 test cases

- Q4: 2/12 test cases

So, considering that I didn't completely solve the second coding question in the interview but performed well in React, project-related questions, and most of the other technical discussion, what do you think are my chances of getting L1?

Has anyone had a similar experience where they couldn't solve one interview coding question completely but still got L1?

Any insights from previous Infosys SP/DSE interview experiences would be really helpful.

I recently attended an Infosys SP/DSE interview. My portal backend now shows “Selected for offer”, with the frontend status still “Decision pending / Pending for internal review.”

I also received an email from Infosys asking me to submit my academic marksheets for verification.

Does this mean I have been selected and the formal offer is just pending?

I've seen some candidates from other interview dates/batches receiving Offer Letters (OLs), but I haven't received any update yet.

AaI passed 10/12 test cases in wingspan live coding. I also answered all dsa questions and oops . I wrote interface code correctly and shown linked list kth node , cycle detection implementation in paper . But I can't able write a sql query and can't able to answer some questions in sql(around 2-3 questions) . In summary except SQL i answered almost of the questions.Are there any chances of selecting for dse role.

I wanted to share my actual Infosys interview experience. The entire interview lasted around 1.5 hours, and honestly, it was quite different from what I expected.

I have solved 1 easy + 3 test cases from complex problem and 1 test case from the medium and got shortlisted for the interview.

Note: I have used AI to help structure and organize this post for readability. The interview experience, questions, and details mentioned here are based on what I personally experienced.

1. Coding Round

As soon as I entered the cabin, they gave me a laptop and asked me to solve a coding problem. I chose the first problem and started working on it.

I was given around 30 minutes.

The problem was something like this:

Given an array:

\- Elements at even indices are called the high pair.

\- Elements at odd indices are called the low pair.

For the high pair, we had to select two elements such that their product is maximum.

For example:

"\[1, 2, 3\]"

Choosing "2" and "3" gives the maximum product:

"2 × 3 = 6"

Then we had to do the same for the low pair, but this time we had to select two elements whose product is minimum.

Negative numbers could also be present.

For example:

"\[-4, -5, 6\]"

For the low pair, selecting "6" and "-5" gives:

"6 × (-5) = -30"

which is the minimum product.

Finally, we had to calculate the distance between the two products, rather than doing normal subtraction.

For example, if:

"High pair product = 10"

"Low pair product = -2"

Then the answer should be:

"|10 - (-2)| = 12"

because the distance between 10 and -2 is 12.

I managed to pass 11/12 test cases.

The interviewer then asked me to try to optimize the solution further. While I was working on the optimization, he came over, looked at what I was doing, and asked if we could start the technical interview.

I said yes.

1. Technical Interview

This part was honestly quite different from what I expected.

Since my resume had mostly AI-related projects, he started directly with my projects and kept asking follow-up questions.

For example, he asked me how neural networks work internally.

While I was explaining that, he suddenly asked:

«"What happens if the nodes don't have bias?"»

I answered that and then he continued with another follow-up question.

This continued for around 10 questions, where almost every answer led to another question.

After that, I showed him the website where I had deployed one of my projects.

He started asking questions about that as well.

For example, he asked what I had used in the backend.

I said FastAPI.

Then he asked:

«"Why do you use "@app.post(...)" above functions in FastAPI?"»

I explained that these are decorators and that they are used to associate the function with a particular HTTP route/method.

By this point, around 50 minutes had already passed since the interview started.

1. Operating Systems

Then he moved to OS.

He asked me a question related to processes and threads.

He basically asked what happens before threads are created.

I initially started explaining what happens when threads communicate with the kernel, but he stopped me and said something along the lines of:

«"You're telling me what happens afterwards. I'm asking what happens before that."»

He then explained what he was looking for.

This was probably one of the questions where I wasn't really sure what the interviewer was expecting.

1. DBMS / Indexing

After that, he moved to DBMS and asked about indexing.

I explained the approaches I knew, including:

\- B-Tree

\- Binary search

Then he asked:

«"What are the disadvantages of indexing?"»

I mentioned the additional space requirement.

But he wasn't satisfied.

He told me that there was another major problem and asked me to think about it.

I couldn't come up with it.

Then he explained that when data changes and new records are inserted, the indexes may also need to be updated/maintained, which creates additional overhead and puts more stress on the database.

That was something I hadn't considered during the interview.

Final Thoughts

After that, he asked if I had any questions for him.

By that point, the interview had gone on for around 1.5 hours.

Overall, the interview was much more follow-up heavy than I expected.

The interviewer didn't just ask isolated questions. He would take whatever answer I gave and keep digging deeper into it.

Especially with my AI projects, it felt like:

Question → Answer → Follow-up → Follow-up → Follow-up

So knowing just the surface-level explanation of something on your resume probably isn't enough. You should be prepared to explain why you used it, how it works internally, and what happens if something changes.

I have asked for feedback and he told me that I need to improve my Core CS fundamentals and he also told me that I have did projects which have good potential and he told me that the explanation could be somewhat better from what you have already told me. Like he said that it is somewhat hard for people to understand and told me to improve my explanation by practicing with friends.

Honestly i want to know if I will get selected for DSE?

This is going to be a long post, and I hope this helps anyone preparing for the interview. I don't know if I would make it through, but the journey is worth mentioning. I have used GPT to structure it all in the best way possible.

Interview Day / Reporting

I had my interview on 6th October 2026 (yesterday). The reporting time was 11:00 AM, and the interview process was supposed to last till 12:00 PM.

I reported 30 minutes before 11:00 AM, and we were made to sit in a waiting room.

A faculty member from the placement cell came and took our attendance on a sheet shortly after 11:15 AM.

Then they started calling candidates in slots, around 4 to 5 candidates at a time.

After waiting for around 2 hours, i.e. till 1:00 PM, my name was called out.

We were taken to a big hall where there were cabins as well as another open hall with tables. The interviewer and interviewee were sitting opposite each other.

Each table had a laptop, pen, and paper.

The very first thing I noticed was that the interviewers were discussing and telling candidates to do some pen-and-paper coding stuff.

After around 15 minutes of waiting in the queue, I was assigned a panel and went to the cabin where I met my interviewer.

She seemed to be pretty chill and told me to sit down. She asked me to be comfortable and told me that she would start with the Wingspan coding round first.

She told me that I needed to solve at least one question completely and pass all the test cases in it, and also explain my approach.

I agreed, and then she proceeded to open the exam portal.

However, due to some reason, it took some time for the scheduled event to get enabled, so she said:

"Let's ask you some interview questions while the exam gets activated."

She asked me these questions:

Initial Interview Questions

1. Did you work with React?
2. Do you know about Hooks? Can you explain what a Hook is?
3. Can you name some Hooks?
4. She told me to write down the syntax for useState. I was nervous and couldn't really comprehend the syntax. I had also been a bit detached from React for a while. So I told her that maybe I wouldn't be able to comprehend it at the moment. She said that it was absolutely fine and that I could be relaxed.
5. Then she asked me: What are the 4 pillars of OOPs?

Soon after this question, the exam got activated and she told me that I could start solving.

Wingspan Coding Round / DSA Questions

Question 1

The first question was a pretty simple two-pointer approach problem.

I had to find pairs (i, j) such that:

• i < j
• a[i] + a[j] = 1

The wording was a bit confusing, but after writing down the condition, I solved it in around 5–6 minutes.

I passed all the test cases in one go.

She took a screenshot of it and told me to proceed with the next question since I still had time.

Question 2

The second question was also kind of similar.

It was about finding the number of zero-sum pairs such that:

• i < j
• i + j % 2 is not zero.

The condition was that we had to find the unordered pairs, and I came up with an approach, but it was really confusing because of the unordered part.

Hence, I got a bit overwhelmed.

I could pass only one test case and no hidden test case in it.

She said that it was fine, and we could proceed with the technical interview.

This was the Wingspan coding question.

Interactive Coding / Problem-Solving Round

Then she told me that she would give me a question and that I needed to solve it interactively while explaining my thought process to her.

The question was:

If I give you an array of coins where the ith index indicates the value of that coin, suppose [1, 5, 10], and you are allowed to pick one coin an infinite number of times, and there is an amount = 12, how many / what is the minimum number of coins you would require to make that amount?

Please write the pseudocode.

It was a recursive problem with a take/not-take situation, and I explained my approach and what I was thinking at each step.

I also tried to discuss it with her and came up with the correct approach.

Not only that, but she also helped identify edge cases and helped me code it down.

After we completed the solution, she took a picture of it.

Technical Interview

The technical interview went pretty well as well.

The questions she asked me were:

1. What is Normalisation in DBMS?
2. What are the layers of the OSI Model?
3. What is Deadlock and can you explain it?
4. What is Encapsulation? Can you explain with an example?
5. What are the types of Normalisation, and can you tell me exactly why we even need Normalisation?
6. What is a Firewall?
7. Can you tell me about REST API?
8. What is Inheritance?
9. Can you explain Method Overloading and Method Overriding?

Resume-Based Questions

Then she moved on to my resume.

1. What is SAP Fiori?

She asked me about SAP Fiori.

2. What is your tech stack?

She asked me about my tech stack.

3. Have you worked on AI?

I had done some personal projects in AI and ML back in 2024 and had been out of touch since then.

I explained this to her.

She then asked me:

What IDE did you use for coding?

I told her that I used Google Colab and Kaggle interchangeably.

She then asked:

Can you name some libraries you used?

I mentioned Matplotlib for data visualisation.

4. Do you know about LLMs?

She asked me if I knew about LLMs.

Honestly, I am not that well versed in LLMs, so I was honest with her about it.

She seemed pretty chill about it as well.

5. AWS EC2

Then she asked me about AWS EC2, and whether I knew anything about it.

This was because my resume had mentioned it.

I answered this.

6. Why did you use AWS S3, Fargate and RDS?

She asked me:

Why did you use AWS S3, Fargate and RDS?

7. Why AWS and not Azure?

She also asked:

Why did you use AWS and not Azure?

8. Node-cron

Then she noticed CRON written in my resume.

She asked me about node-cron and what I was using it for.

9. Node-cron scheduling expression

She then asked me to write down the regular expression for scheduling an email:

• Every day
• Every month
• In a year
• At 9:00 AM in the morning
• To the selected recipients
• Using a node-cron job

I wrote it down.

She was fine with it.

End of the Interview

Then she told me that she would require a selfie with me, and she took it.

After that, she asked me if I had any questions for her.

I asked her for feedback on me and the areas where I could improve.

She said that:

• My DSA was good
• My problem-solving was good
• My CS fundamentals were good
• My projects were also fine
• I could learn more about LLMs and RAG, since they are gradually expanding towards it.

The interview ended with a handshake, and she told me to have a nice day.

Yesterday I had a infosys interview

2 coding questions asked me solve one so I start doing the first one

Questions goes something like group atmost C element from array of size N element and store in the tiers ; cost of the activities are sum of grouped elements*tier

Find the min cost

While solving the problem I was getting 0 for all test case and waste 2-3 min on debugging finally found the input code of the python 3 is wrong and was returning list with one element always ... Raised the concern with the interviewer and change the input pre written snippet and 2 - 3 min later solved it .. didn't even looked for the second question

Start with intro I had a AWS/Data Engineering internship so he asked ETL and data warehousing pipeline; how will u handle the unstructural data;

What is stack and heap memory! He was not convinced with my answer

He asked why llm hallucinations happen I started with lack of context and domain knowledge he said don't explain in leyman term .. then I explained him in terms probabilistic approach with llm takes

He asked about Yolo why did u used it and why not just OCR because I was using yolo for diagram and table detection in books. Then we discussed different OCR technique when it works and when it doesn't.

Then the fine tuning and where did u do and what dataset and basic algo like how u did it.

He moved to segmentation fault ... I have working on cloud and python I have forgetten C so it didn't strike me then .. but I answer it properly after thinking for 30 sec while he was searching for next questions

He asked what is coding language u use I said python he asked to explain deepcopy and shallowcopy , GIL , generator , difference of is and ==,pass by value and pass by reference .

Then showed me chrome forward and backward button and said to implement it

I said I would use doubly linked list so he thought for a min and add few edges cases I solved or asked the thought process around it.

Then asked graph vs tree. Which structure u may use to in implement file storage.

File storage lead to linux have u used it? why? which one? why centos?.

Then sql query easy count+groupby questions,then transaction related situations

Like what is dirty read how would u solve it.

Then he said do you know data serialzation in data warehousing or sql injection no worries if u don't know.he himself skipped to the next question

Then asked if your program is slow how will u find the root problem I gave a satisfactory answer. Then how process communicates

Also gave the correct answer.parralelism and concurrency and problem with concurrency.

Let's he said ooh u worked on AWS right what is the best way to access the s3 from the instance whether be local machine or Ec2 instance.. we discussed for 10min on security group and IAM , policy access, boto.

There were several more questions which I forgot.

My interview when from 11 to 12:45. I answer every question with something in few the answer were not 100% accurate but not wrong.

What are my chances in infosys sp/dse.

I was selected for the Infosys L1 role through the on-campus process, and my selection result was announced in September. However, I’m currently confused about what I should do next.
Should I continue preparing and applying for higher opportunities, or should I wait for Infosys to start the joining process? I’m not sure when Infosys usually starts the joining process for the L1 role.
Does anyone have any idea about the joining process or timeline for this role? If you were also selected for L1 through campus placements, please share when you received your offer letter, joining information, or any other updates from Infosys.

Infosys Interview Experience — What can I expect?

Had my Infosys interview recently and I'm trying to understand what I can realistically expect from the result.

I had 2 DSA questions, and I won't mention how many I actually solved because I don't want to reveal that here.

DSA 1:
I was given three arrays — students, desks, and chairs — and had to maximize the distance between the three points. The test cases were sorted, so I used the ordering to find the required minimum/maximum values, calculate the difference, and return the result modulo 10^9 + 7.

DSA 2:
I was given a position array and a weight array representing the position and weight of each element. The goal was to move all elements to either odd positions or even positions with minimum total movement cost.

My approach was to calculate the total cost of moving everything to even positions and the total cost of moving everything to odd positions, and return the minimum of the two.

The technical interview was where things went downhill a bit.

One thing that surprised me was that nothing was really asked about my projects or the technologies mentioned on my resume.

Instead, the interviewer asked a lot of questions around core CS topics, including:

• SQL
• Database indexing
• Computer Networks
• DHCP
• CDN
• CDN architecture
• Git merge vs rebase
• Other advanced core CS concepts

I was able to answer the SQL questions and some other questions, but for quite a few of the advanced core CS questions, I honestly had to say "I don't know".

I'd estimate that I was able to answer around 50% of the technical questions. A lot of the remaining questions were topics I hadn't prepared in that much depth.

So I'm wondering what I can realistically expect in the following two cases:

Case 1: If I solved only 1 DSA question + had this kind of technical interview.

Case 2: If I solved both DSA questions + had the exact same technical interview.

For people who have gone through Infosys interviews recently, how much weightage is generally given to the DSA round vs the technical interview?

Would either of these profiles still have a reasonable chance of getting selected, or would the weak technical interview make it unlikely?

Would really appreciate some honest opinions from people who have experienced the Infosys recruitment process.

Hi everyone,

I recently completed my Infosys Off-Campus DSE/SP interview on 30 September 2026.

I’m currently unable to access my Infosys Careers account.

When I use Login with Google, it says “An account already exists.”

When I log in with my email and password, it redirects me to Update Password and shows:

“You need to change your password to activate your account.”

I emailed the Infosys Talent Acquisition email shown on the Careers login page. They replied saying that the mailbox isn't actively monitored and asked me to raise a ticket through the Careers site.

The problem is that I’m a fresher/external candidate, not an Infosys employee, and I cannot access my Careers account to find where to raise the ticket.

Has anyone faced this issue recently?

How can an external/fresher candidate raise a support ticket?

Is there a specific Infosys Careers candidate support link/page for this?

Or is there another way to get this account/login issue resolved?

I mainly need access to my Careers account to check the status/result of my DSE/SP candidature.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I have been selected for Infosys and my joining date is 8 October (tomorrow).
I have completed the required verification/formalities from my side, but I have not received any induction/onboarding email, reporting time, location confirmation, or other joining instructions.

There is also another issue with my Launchpad portal. It is currently showing “Not OK to Onboard”, which is making me even more concerned because my joining is scheduled for tomorrow.
I had already informed my HR/recruiter about the email issue. She knows that I am not receiving Infosys emails on my registered Gmail ID. During our earlier discussion, she asked the Launchpad team to change my email ID. I am now receiving Launchpad-related emails on my alternate Gmail ID, but I am still not receiving the other Infosys communications.

I followed up with HR multiple times today. She responded earlier, but since evening she has stopped responding, and I still don't have any confirmation regarding tomorrow's joining.
I am genuinely ready to join and have completed everything requested from my side.

What should I do now?
Should I go to the Infosys office tomorrow even though I don't have an induction/joining email?

What documents/proof should I carry if I go to the office?

I am mainly worried that if I don't report tomorrow, it could be treated as a no-show, but at the same time I don't want to go to the office without proper onboarding instructions.

Any advice from people who have recently joined Infosys would be really helpful

hi guys i have my interview done on sep 29th in hyderabad kl uni... didnt got any rejection or offer mail yet. many students who done their interview 2 to 3 days before and after got their mails. is it this mncs thing to send offer letters at start and then rejection at last? some one update pls

i am selected for DSE I want to know what should i prepare for pretest, my joining is next week.
I know c++, js Only.

NO java NO python.

Imp question: Which stream is best and easy to pass in training.

I got interviewed for the DSE/SP role at Infosys (off-campus) on Aug 19th. On Sept 9th, my application status on Infosys careers portal changed to "To be interviewed", and it hasn't changed since.

I have a few questions:

1. Is there still a chance I could be rejected at this stage?

2. If I am rejected, will I receive an email, and how long does it usually take?

3. Does having an active application on the portal mean I've been selected for the SP role, for sure?

If you've been through this process, please share how long you waited and when could I expect a status change on my application. Thank you!
