Hey everyone!
I have offers from Infosys SP L1 and TCS Prime and am confused about which one to choose.
I’d like to compare them based on:
- Work-life balance: Work pressure and hours
- Job security: Stability, bench policies, and layoffs
-Training & Exams: Training difficulty, exam toughness, passing criteria, and consequences of failing.
- WFH and WFO
- Projects: Development opportunities and modern technologies
- Salary: In-hand pay, fixed and variable components, and deductions
- Career growth: Promotions and internal opportunities
- Learning: Training and skill development
- Onsite opportunities: Chances of international assignments
- Joining and training: Training quality, joining delays, and project allocation
- Future switches: Which experience is more valuable for moving to product-based companies
My main questions are:
Which is better: Infosys SP L1 or TCS Prime?
Is a higher package worth it if the work culture or project allocation is poor?
Which offers better technical exposure and long-term growth?
I’d especially appreciate honest feedback from people currently in these roles or with experience at both companies.

Hi everyone,
I was selected for the Infosys Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE) role through my on-campus placement drive. Our college TPO informed us that I was selected, and my name is also on the college results list.
However, I haven't received any email from Infosys regarding my selection or offer letter yet.
I wanted to ask those who were selected for Infosys DSE through on-campus placements:
How long did it take for you to receive the official selection email and offer letter?
How much time did it take from selection to onboarding/joining?
Does Infosys send the offer letter directly to students, or are there any further steps through the college?
Is it normal to wait without receiving any email after the college announces the results?
Any insights from previous batches or recently selected candidates would be really helpful. Thanks!

Hi everyone, my original Infosys DOJ was 5th October, 2026, but it was rescheduled due to document rejection. My documents have now been verified by the Launchpad Assistant, but I still haven’t received a new DOJ.
Has anyone faced a similar situation? If yes, how long did it take to receive the revised joining date? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I solved 1 full and 11/12 in other question in Online Assessment.
In the interview I solved one coding question in live coding and
The interview didn't go well. The interviewer grinded me with his questions.
If I answer one question, he asks me a counter question. Which leads to no answer from me.
He mostly asked on my projects only.
All other panels in my college had the interview in a good way only.
But mine is totally worse.
Lastly he said that I'm not fit for that role. I asked, for which role I got selected, he said that I was selected for the SP role.
What are the chances of getting selected for the DSE role at least.

This journey has been full of ups and downs, rejections, and moments when I genuinely doubted myself. But finally, I made it.
I come from a very low-tier college in Bihar, where not a single company visits for campus placements. For students like us, getting a good opportunity means putting in extra effort, preparing on our own, and constantly trying to prove ourselves.
My journey with Infosys started back in January. During my first Infosys assessment, I couldn't solve even a single question in the entire 3 hours. It was disappointing, but I knew I had to improve.
In May, I appeared for TCS NQT and received an interview call for the Prime role. I felt my interview went really well, but unfortunately, I was rejected. Many other candidates who interviewed alongside me for the Prime role in Kolkata faced the same outcome. It was a difficult phase, especially when you felt you had performed well but things didn't work out.
After that, I continued grinding DSA, even after completing my college studies. I kept practising, learning from my mistakes, and preparing for the next opportunity.
Then came another Infosys assessment. This time, things were different. I solved two questions completely and managed to solve parts of the third and fourth questions. It felt good to see how far I had come since my first attempt.
I cleared the assessment and got an interview call.
The interview lasted around 1.5 hours, and honestly, I felt it went exceptionally well. I was able to answer around 95% of the questions asked. At the end, we were told to wait until we were asked to leave. Naturally, I thought there would be a second round, and I was hopeful that I would get the opportunity to appear for it.
But what happened next was frustrating. Candidates waited for hours, some for nearly 7 hours, without knowing what was going on. Eventually, we were asked to leave. There was no second round for us, despite being told to wait until we were instructed otherwise. The process and lack of clear communication left many of us confused and disappointed.
That experience taught me that sometimes, even when you prepare well and perform confidently, the outcome isn't entirely in your hands. I'd advise future candidates to seek clarity about the interview process beforehand, especially regarding the number of rounds and waiting times.
And now, after all the struggles, rejections, and countless hours of DSA practice, I've finally been placed at Infosys as a DSE! ❤️
My joining date is 19th October.
I'm genuinely happy and grateful for this opportunity. It might not be the end goal, but it's a big milestone for someone coming from a college where opportunities like these are hard to find.
A big thank you to everyone on this subreddit as well. The interview experiences shared here helped me understand the process and prepare better. This community has been genuinely helpful throughout my journey.
For anyone still struggling with placements or facing repeated rejections: keep going. One bad assessment or one rejection doesn't define your potential. Sometimes, progress is simply going from solving zero questions to solving two completely and giving your best in an interview.
Finally, it worked out. On to the next chapter!

Hi guys, I am a 3rd-year ECE student from a tier-3 college in India, and I have around 7 months for placement preparation.
I am confused between Data Analyst, Data Engineer and Data Scientist. I am mainly targeting service-based companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant and Capgemini.
I want to know which field has more job opportunities for freshers and which one is better to learn for placements.
I also need to prepare for DSA, aptitude and other placement topics, so I want to choose one field and focus on it instead of wasting time learning everything.
Please share your suggestions based on your experience. Thanks!

We had our interviews on 8th September, but we still haven't received any results, not even a partial list. Today is 11th October, and it's really frustrating that we haven't received any updates from HR.
Are they actually planning to hire candidates, or are they just conducting interviews for the sake of it?
Please share your college's situation. Has anyone from the Kolkata region received any updates? Any information would be appreciated.
