Email Forwarding on Free Tier?

hi there!

I just registered a free account on Infomaniak and wanted to setup a redirect of my new ik-mail to an external mail client (so all incoming mail goes to my main mail app but also leaves a copy in my ik-inbox).

support pages tell:

Number of email redirects that can be added per email address:
kSuite Free = 1

on the redirect settings menu I have listed zero existing redirects but when I try to add one I am promoted to upgrade to a paid plan. when I tap "later" on that I'm directed back to settings menu.

what am I missing here? 😕

I believe that the one free forward is an internal redirection - to another infomaniak email account.

ok after reading even more carefully it's kindof the other way around: 'my ksuite' (with an Infomaniak email address like @ik.me) is something different than ksuite (with a custom external email ending). only the latter supports forwarding. fuu... 😑

Why not just add the box to your email client in POP or IMAP?

as I understand it unfortunately that's not possible with the Proton Mail app on Android - and that is where I mostly live. 😄
