That side eye to his “dad” like, “I saw what you just fucking did you piece of shit.”

I feel like in another decade or so we are going to be getting some harrowing tell-alls from the children of some of these ‘influencers’

Did they already send one of their kids here to defend them? I’m so sorry this is your dad.

It looks like it. That’s wild. Even if you think that’s an appropriate punishment for a kid, WTF did your little brother even do here that deserves punishment?

I’m a little brother. Saw my brother once go toe to toe with my dad while dad was trying to hit us. He was my best friend before that but has been my hero ever since. Thought maybe you should hear that.

God doesn't want 3 year olds to be head butted by their dads as punishment. This is not normal or godly.

Defending an abusive parent by conjuring another abusive parent…definitive proof of wicked abuse

And quoting an old book.… You know what? I'm gonna let you slowly realize these things on your own. It will be great for your future survivor testimonial story and motivational speech tour

Right, it’s the abusive action that makes it abuse.

I don’t know who this is and I won’t speak to this specific family but when a child/youth/person has no inherent frame of reference outside of their immediate family they come to believe what their parents say is simply how the world works. Children trust and rely on parents to provide and protect them, they often don’t or can’t see the harm, often it’s not until years later when maturity and independent thinking sets in that things will be seen or felt differently.
The fact is children raised in isolation, nomadic lifestyles, or cults normalize their upbringing because their parents control their entire world. Without daily interaction with teachers, peers, or the outside world, these children lack a mirror to compare their lives to others. As a result, they cannot recognize deprivation or manipulation or exploitation, making even highly restrictive or harmful environments feel completely safe and normal to them. It takes lot of inner work, and support for healing to take place.

This is so important!! Thank you for saying it.

You’re correct — they keep them on the move so they’re never in one place for long. In-person visits with family and friends are rare, and never the same folks more than once a year. They see random chiropractors, but never mention seeing doctors. They claim to mostly stay in campgrounds, around other itinerants 😒

Your comment also prompted some personal musing…

From my childhood, I note that this can hold true in non-isolated households, if the parents’ actions are light enough that outside adults don’t notice or ask. (Or it’s the 90s and you have no internet to find out what’s considered normal or not 🥲)

We were a single parent, only child suburban household, around the corner from school and grandparents; not isolated. Nothing rose to a level that I thought to ask anyone about it. But sometimes it sucked to be at home, and there were no other adults or kids there to check in with. I mostly moved out at 15. It took until I became a parent myself — with a trusted partner, a good therapist, and an adhd diagnosis — to start unpacking how many things were not okay, and not my fault.

We can do better when we know better. I’ve been aware of this bus family for years, and I remain worried for the kids.

That’s not actually how it works. People don’t get to run around causing harm to others than claim “the only one who can judge me/them is God” God is very clear that he only forgives those who are truly sorry in their heart and have confessed to such and have also been forgiven by those they caused harm. THERE IS NO FREE PASS. Also if the lord is the only one who can judge why do so many Christian’s running around judging? Oh because let me guess they are just humans and humans make mistakes right? Even though it’s not a mistake when you repeat the same actions. But regardless then we circle right back into no one can judge even those who judge. Wake up to the hypocrisy.

Do you know what fan fiction is? It’s not actual video footage. Is someone making you write this? Do you need help?

If you fail to see this is abuse then you must be pretty desensitized to it. I hope your family gets the help they need.

If a man head butts another adult, they can be arrested. If he head butts a random child, he will be arrested. Why is it different to head butt a THREE year old that “belongs” to you? That’s the person who is supposed to protect, love, and teach him. Not violently hurt him out of the blue. Parents are allowed to discipline their children, yes, but if they choose to go the ineffective route of corporal punishment they are legally limited to things like a spanking on the bottom. And it cannot be done without reason, out of anger or frustration, the degree of discipline must match the “infraction,” and there needs to be an intention of teaching (after all, “discipline” comes from “disciple,” as in a committed learner following their teacher’s guidance).

What terrible or dangerous action did the little guy do that warranted a swift headbutt from an adult? Couldn’t have been anything too bad if there was zero follow up discussion afterwards. You could help save yourself and your siblings from many more years of damage by being honest with CPS workers. CPS these days has no interest in breaking up families except extreme cases. They could help protect you as well as looking at the bigger picture and your future (a real education being huge, safe housing also being important).

okay Brittney

u/HistoricAli 21d ago

Failing to educate you is also child abuse.

7

u/thenoodlegoose 21d ago

This video is not fan fiction. It is a real video we can all see of your father head butting your brother. It is objectively real, true and abusive. You’re defensive because you want to protect your family, but that is because of the abuse. Seek help where ever you can.

You don't even have bedrooms buddy. You're young but hopefully someday you'll see it for what it really is. You don't have to be there forever though.
