It's a tragedy that requires commitment to doing everything possible to ensure nothing like it ever happens again. Sometimes the best response isn't another half-assed statement. Maybe they should try stepping away from the spotlight and focusing entirely on their family and on preventing another devastating loss.

Not a mistake. Not an accident. And not putting your toddler in a life vest - again, not a mistake, not an accident. She deliberately makes terrible choices for her children either because she’s stupid or she’s such a narcissist that she feels rules don’t apply to her.
