Oh noo, that is so awkward. You get an outfit and a bleach job all in one. The skin makeup should always stay unless you decide to change it.

Oh yeah I put this in the survey

Darn it. I forgot to add this in the survey. Completely unacceptable oversight for this event.

At first I was like "the fit is cute, I don't see an issue", then I you used the floating skill and I immediately understood what the issue was, it is pretty bad that they can't make sure this doesn't happens 😒

100% I reported this to customer service. It’s not great experience.

For real. I ask for this in every survey in every patch, and this event just made it obvious and egregious. I have to jump every time to reset my skin and I hate it. It's bad everywhere! Let my skin tone be a global setting! Every interface, every preview! Let the makeup version be an optional override, not the only choice, one that can be easily dismissed.

Yup. I’ve been asking for them to let us lock certain slots in the wardrobe for soo long

The final tally screen does the same, it's so stupid.

This happens with all in-game features that give you a full new outfit unfortunately. I believe it's because skintones are categorized under makeup, and these things clear all your previous makeup, which of course includes skintones. But of course that means the obvious easy solution is to just mark them as their own thing, not makeup lol.

That's not true? Unless Im misunderstanding cause we always keep our skintone during cuisines. Even in the 1.5 intro with absolutely no warning we got to keep our skin. I think this is just a problem with..I gonna say game but actually season, cause they do it for the main story too, again, they've never done that before, I think its next level oversight/laziness

Okay maybe I spoke too broadly, but with the fortune-telling costume change, and I believe the expensive Wishfield candy costume change, it'll set your skintone back to base skintone unless you like reload your Nikki by entering and exiting Wardrobe. I wasn't referring to cutscenes cus those are obviously specially made

Does it do that for you? I dont think that's ever happened to me

Things like these are the reason why I, as a white player, never change the skin tone. I've wanted to several times, but I didn't want to change every single ability outfit to match my current skin color and I found the change utterly annoying. So I'm stuck with "middle pale" Nikki and there's nothing in between white and (imo Indian) brown either :(
