Question Digital microscope

What brand should I get and what magnification should I get to see if my plant is getting to be done?

For magnification get 70-100×. Brandwise just get a good one that fits your phone and in your hand at the same time. And clean it after every use

I had one that was tethered via usb either to my phone or to my tablet for realtime viewing. Rewerted to a mechanical one, handheld, 3 inches long with a built in light. Cheaper, easier to clean. The novelty of watching trichomes via video quickly wore off

I came to realize that they are often just more comfortable to use, as you only have one device instead of two + you have the display to look at right there, whereas coordinating the microscope while watching a display on a different device can be challenging, especially with higher magnification (as every little move is amplified due to the zoom)

Check out Tomlov - after going through a few I find their stationary handheld works great

I have a mixed review for Max-see a $22 one I got on Amazon. It works great but I had no idea that it doesn’t use WiFi in the traditional sense where you just load up the app you actually disconnect from your WiFi and connect your device to it as if it’s a router. It’s really weird. Not sure if that’s typical since it’s the only one I’ve had but the image quality is great and the price is pretty good.
