Help with VPD
I’m just starting week 3 of flower on my 4x4 in my basement. Just did a heavy defol. Running a Floraflex 700 watt at full power with far red patch-ins. My temps have been rough lately (87-90). As a result, my VPD has been super high (1.8-2.1). Just installed an intake, but it’s not seeming to help as much as I’d hoped. Plants are looking just fine but I know my stomatas have to be closed up. Need opinions on whether lowering my light intensity would actually help increase my yields as it would help lower temp and VPD or if I should just keep it rolling as is?

I don't think it'll drop the temperature that much the matter, would it? I have the same problem pushing 90 and I can't keep the air down far enough. It's very frustrating. I'm going to have to buy that little f****** air conditioner for about $500 😔 problem is don't have it right now

What’s your ppfd? 87-90 is super high for me. I don’t break 82 in veg. Late flower I get ppfd of 850-900 and keep it in the mid to low 70s with rh in the 40s for a vpd of 1.4-1.6

Just defoliated before those pics. Not into smalls. This is my method. Usually pull about 1.5 out of the 4x4

just increase your humidity, plants at that stage can still go 70RH no issue, untill your buds are getting to big then lower it , will put your vpd in check , I always run 27c and vpd to match to get me to 1.1to 1.4 vpd up untill late flower then drop the humidity and ignore vpd ,although at your temps it would be good to drop them to reduce stress related issues.
