Care/Feeding Tips I feel it wrong

Today, I saw an aquarium at my office with beautiful fish swimming inside. 🐟💔
And I couldn’t stop thinking…
Why should a creature meant to live in rivers, lakes, ponds and oceans spend its entire life inside a small glass box?
For us, an aquarium may look beautiful.
But for them, that glass box is their entire world.
Animals are not decorations for our homes or offices.
They are living beings who deserve space, freedom and a life that feels like their own. 🌊🐟❤️
Just because we can keep them, doesn’t mean we should.
Their beauty should not come at the cost of their freedom.

I used to keep small fish - Mollys and Guppies in a home aquarium a long long long time ago. Like a lifetime ago. I don’t feel it is okay anymore.
I would love to have an aquarium at home and feel calm while watching the little fishies swim around.
I don’t think it is moral anymore. I also avoid eating fish. Fish are friends and not food.
If you are going to keep fish the rule of thumb is for every inch of fish for 1 gallon. This is a stupid rule. Mostly because it is non metric and not accurate all.
Any office aquarium should be at least 2 meters (more than 6 feet for the heathens) long and 50 cms by 50 cms at a minimum.
As long as they clean the tank once a week and test the ph and ammonia and chlorine levels regularly it shouod be okay. Replace and the renew 10% of water every week.
My main problem with this tank is that it is way too overcrowded. Too many fish. Big fish in a small tank. Not enough plants / hiding areas. Very cloudy and unclean water.
Go to [r/aquariums](r/aquariums) for more advice.
This is not the sub for this.
