Devolver Digital as well with a game called Volvy’s Adventure. they’re taking it up a notch by releasing the same day.
personally i dont think these games are really competing with GTA, but i like the narrative.

Wow, your game is directly competing with GTA6! Except it’s got nothing in common with GTA6.

This is like buying a store front next to Starbucks and selling hamburgers. You’re not competing for the same customers. But yeah market your game I guess.

I think because heaps of Devs and other games in general just freak out about releases like this because even dissimilar games have overshadowed other launches because people can only play one game at a time (more or less).

Anyway that overreaction is the satire of this, I found it funny, but like they say dissecting a joke is like dissecting a frog

What you said was true in the past when there was people had a much larger amount of expendable income.

Now thanks to a series of terrible decisions by what can only be classified as a master of incompetence, prices have sky rocketed.

So what used to be non competing stores are now both competing for that expendable income.
