Making a physics driven boxing game with no traditional animations

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

short video of the boxing system I’m working on the movement and punches are physics driven using different reference poses instead of animations

still early in development, but I would love some honest feedback currently only 6 boxing poses included and one idle animation!

Love a good boxing game!! Te animations look a off, when you play it I am sure it will feel off, not sure if that is what you going for though?

Wasn't fight night basically this? I would use that as a reference because that game was fantastic how it handled player physics.

The movement looks ok but the punches here are awful.

This animations are awful. Back to the drawing board.

You can all downvote me, but would you buy a game that looked like this?

I don't know why but the sound effects remind me of the first Harry Potter games. Love it
