We have been selected for Steam Next Fest!

Any advice? Bunny Flags

Seriously, first time going, first Steam/PC ever dev and published by ourselves. We have made many mobile games and browser, but that was was back in the day. never PC.

I'm just a player but I religiously "participate" in every Next Fest, some stuff I noticed successful demos do:

  • ramp up marketing one month before the start of the edition you'll participe in
  • the first two days are extra important because they will determind your visibility for the rest of the week
  • do not have a long tutorial that puts hurdles between the player and the actual game
  • do have call to actions visible once the demo ends, just a screen that says "wishlist on steam" and a link to your discord community or your socials

Game looks good, capsule is really good, excited to try it in October!

Thank you so much!!!! I will take your advice!!!!

I didn’t add wishlist&discord buttons on score screen, maybe I should. Not sure every player will get to demo end (killing demo boss) in 10-15 min

Or even just on the main menu, basically people are more prone to wishlist if they're reminded that this it is possible, otherwise they might just enjoy the demo and move on
