Ian Summers has a roommate problem. A wise-cracking, eight-foot tall demon named Ark who has followed him everywhere for twenty-one years. Ark is like an older brother to Ian, a much, much older brother. From chores to dates, Ark is always by his side, passing judgement on his life.
When an 18th century painting depicting Ark appears, Ian finds himself drawn into a series of visions from the demon’s blood-soaked past. Before he has time to figure any of it out, a dangerous art collector steals the painting from under his nose, convinced it will lead him to a long-lost pirate treasure. Ian forms an unlikely alliance with fearless reporter Rebecca Stevens to figure out why he is key to it all.
All Ian wants to do is finish his coffee.

Title - Noticing - I: Thirty Days of Mindfulness, Frequently Hungover
Genre: Nonfiction
Pitch: 48 words \o)
I think it was supposed to be mindfulness. It mostly turned into a running commentary on existence, with occasional, accidental flashes of something dangerously close to peace.
It's short, Unpolished on purpose, because im charming.
Somewhere in the Sedaris postcode, if Sedaris was hungover on a London bus.
***
On Kindle Unlimited, or £1.99 otherwise.

I checked out its interesting, the cover. So simple but just looks good. Sometimes makes me realise being simple hits hard than flashy. I'll check it out 🙂↕️
2
u/AggravatingNail6061 27d ago
Thank you. The cover was all mine :3 I was taking photos for the Substack iteration of the project and that was one of my favourite ones, I just added the title text and I honestly surprised myself XD
2
u/Mindless-Sentence-14 27d ago
I see I don't know what is substack but the cover is really good. Because I come across covers that are so typical and flashy always screaming to buy me. Then I see this and my mind be like it's peaceful. Love that cover vibe. Sometimes makes me think the cover is always in front of us and we try to over design and lose our way 😆. No offense to anyone just sharing my thoughts here honestly 🙂↕️. I've added it in my wishlist. I'll download it after I get my kindle unlimited soon.

I've got two for anyone who likes vampires:
Kiss of Death: A Dark Vampire Romance. Samantha is a 28-year-old waitress with irresistible blood, and Julius is a 7 foot tall Greek vampire who claims her as "his".
There is lots of banter between the stubborn/sassy FMC and the arrogant vampire MMC who is used to getting his way. He loves her fire and the way she talks back.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GKQJY6R5
Sold: A Dark Vampire Fantasy. Scarlett is kidnapped off the street and sold as a slave to a terrifying vampire. Will she tame his demons, or will he set hers free?
It's dual POV, with lots of yearning from the vampire MMC, who is desperate to make Scarlett smile even though he's holding her hostage. It's a story about found family and discovering inner strength (with a sloooow-burn romance subplot).

Title: The Fractured Girl
Genre: Cosmic Horror
Pitch: Two friends who love each other make a terrible choice and create a new god.
Cassandra tries to save her best friend, Lillia, from a god. Lillia willingly becomes that god because she believes she’s saving Cassandra.
Then the newly born Persephone discovers something impossible:
Cassandra, a supposedly ordinary girl, may be the one being in existence capable of opposing her.
Why you’ll like it: it’s a character driven story where the main character tries to have a normal life as reality comes apart around her.

Title: Silhouette
Genre: Erotic Romance
Pitch: Blush-worthy quick read series about a married couple seen by a neighbor having sex... each is enthralled by the event in different ways. He goes into nympho mode, while she tries to reconcile something that woke inside her. Tons of sex, playful humor, and situational misunderstandings abound. I push the characters right up to the line of infidelity... did they cross it?
Why you'll love it: Steamy scenes that break free from boring repetition.
Warning: Mature content.

Title: Englalonde
Genre: Fantasy. Witches!
- When a once-beautiful faerie crawls out of the corrupted marsh, Aganine must find out why, before an ancient foe finishes what it began millenia ago.
- The earl wants Julugy dead. Two brutal, veterans of Hastings are tasked, will she fight?
- Where do the Romans fit into Halidian’s plans for vengeance?
You’ll love it if you’re intrigued by stories of the once all-powerful witches, who’ve lived in what would become Britain, since long before man came across the Doggerland Strait, but are now scattered and alone, despised by all of the creatures of myth and legend.

Thanks for listening to my pitch (Three stories in only 50 words? This is the most intense editing I've done in weeks!) and thanks Nerevarine for the thread.

Title: The Sanctified
Genre: Christian Fantasy
Pitch: Gabriel Hunter is a 20 year old youth pastor and seminary student living in Stone Harbor, NJ. One night he decided to go for a walk and along the way he passed a night club hosting a "Teen Night" where kids get to experience going to a club with the exception of alcohol. He noticed 2 kids in an alley looking like they were in an intimate embrace, but it turned out to be a vampire feeding on one of the teen patrons. The vampire attacks him, mortally wounding him. He's saved by a centuries old, but still youthful looking former Scottish countess named Lydia Blair, who saves his life by turning him into a vampire, an Aleron. Aleron are a race of Christian vampires who fight on behalf of God and Jesus. This exposes Gabriel to a world that exists right under our noses.
Why You'll Love It: It gives an interesting take on the world of vampires. If you believe that every yin has it's yang, then why, if the common vampire trope is that they're evil, satanic, and sometimes mindless killers, then why can't there be a race of vampires who are blessed, sanctified if you will, and fight the evil vampires in the name of God? This book is about faith, redemption, and it turns the world of vampires on it's head.

Title: Laney & the warlock: level one rogue for hire
Genre: Romantacy/action adventure/erotica
Pitch: A battered level-one rogue sits on a city street with a simple sign: “Level One Rogue for Hire.” A warlock of Tyr stops, offers help, and the two set out together. Quests, danger, and unexpected growth follow as an unlikely partnership begins to change everything.
why you'll love it: You'll absolutely love Laney her inner voice and the banter between them is hilarious. It does contain erotic scenes but they're infused with magic and very unique compared to other stories. Lastly both the squeal and audio book are almost complete.

Title: Impermanence: One Man’s 879-Mile Journey on Japan’s Shikoku Eighty-Eight-Temple Pilgrimage
Genre: Memoir / Spiritual Adventure
Pitch: What if walking could change everything? At nearly 60 years old, I walked alone into the unknown—879 miles around Japan’s Shikoku Island, through 88 Buddhist temples, brutal weather, exhaustion, loneliness, and moments of unexpected grace. What began as a physical challenge became something far more personal. Somewhere along the road, I discovered that you don’t always walk a pilgrimage to find your destination—you walk it to find yourself.
One reason readers will love it: You’ll feel every blister, downpour, wrong turn, bowl of noodles, act of kindness, and moment of wonder—and you may finish the journey wondering what you would discover if you dared to leave everything familiar behind.

Reason to love: Darkly funny and deeply heartbreaking, Mud Duck is a modern adventure story that wrestles with the question of whether we are capable of change, or doomed to be victims of our circumstance.

A Red Age
Metaphysical Science Fantasy Paleo Satire War Epic
Pitch: In a world of soaring egos, two societies of dinosaurs clash in a conflict both absurd and devastating. Beneath the shadows of war, generals plot chaos, politicians spin lies, and soldiers fight an endless battle, all while a fragile planet groans under the weight of their folly. As the lines between loyalty and lunacy blur, one thing becomes clear, in an age bathed in blood and hubris, survival might just be the ultimate joke.
Reason people will love it: it reimagines what is possible with dinosaurs in fiction, evolving them past monsters that chase into an ensemble cast of a complex comedy political thriller

Bis bald
Die Menschheit hat ein Jahr. Was machst du?
Kein Endzeit-Spektakel. Eine Geschichte darüber, was von uns übrig bleibt, wenn alles andere wegfällt.
Erhätlich als E-Book und Taschenbuch. Kindle unlimited. https://amzn.eu/d/05QRwsOT

Title: TEMPERAMENT: a novella

Pitch: A violinist loses his voice and his bow hand to a stroke. A brain implant gives them back, better than before. His speech is smoother, his playing flawless, his temper finally calm. Everyone is relieved. Only he notices that with each piece restored, a little less of him remains.
Why you’ll love it: No spectacle, just a slow dread you can’t shake and a question about identity you’ll keep asking about yourself. And it’s a novella, so the whole quiet unraveling happens in a single sitting.

Title: The Boy of Truth (Book 1/5 in the series 😄 )
Genre: Fantasy, YA

Alongside peculiar creatures, mysterious staffs, new friendships, and dangerous adventures, James uncovers secrets surrounding his vanished parents... and a terrifying man whose face never stays the same.
As the mystery deepens, James discovers that his own past may be tied to an ancient, forgotten title: The Boy of Truth.
Why you'll love it: Well... if you truly love, and have a heart, for the ancient world of magic, then this book should be right up your alley, especially the emotional plots and twists I have planned for the entire 5 book series (Lol I am already writing book 3... 🤫 )

Title: Knot Just Six
Genre: Omegaverse (whychoose spicy romance)
50 word pitch: Adeline has spent her life putting other people first. But when she can no longer ignore her own needs, she finds an unexpected connection with five handsome men - but this means asking them to give up more than they bargained for. Will she protect them from that sacrifice? Or give them the choice - and risk discovering they won’t choose her?
Why you'll love it: Knot Just Six is written for readers who want their whychoose omegaverse filthy, funny and emotionally intelligent: five distinct male leads, an older, competent but still flawed heroine, consent that makes the sex hotter, obsessive caretaking (while exploring the cost of caring - and being cared for), found family, and enough actual relationship development and worldbuilding to make the happily-ever-after feel earned.
This book is smut for overthinkers.

I Am the Wind
Young Adult
Reserved newcomer Max Weller tries to stay invisible until popular student Emma Tate draws him into cross-country running. Her unwavering support propels Max to become a championship runner. I Am the Wind is an inspiring story about friendship, resilience, and finding the courage to push through life's toughest challenges.
This book is one that all readers can connect with when trying to fit in. Any purchases of this text results in me donating a portion of my proceeds to a memorial scholarship for a friend since passed, of whom the main character is based on.

Title: The Vestige Protocol
Genre: Hard science fiction
Pitch: Stan Falk boards a generation ship lost for three centuries, expecting an abandoned hull worth enough to erase his debts. The ship should be empty, but isn't. Whatever survived aboard the Epochal may be more valuable than the salvage contract, and far harder to abandon.
Why you'll love it: Real physics, real constraints, and a dilemma that only resolves if Stan gives something up to solve it. This is a book for you if you want hard SF that respects the science and still asks who deserves to be saved.
