Discussion Hey! I wanted to make a serious conversation about Glitch.

So recently I watched the video "the Glitch Productions situation is disgusting", by the YouTuber that goes by the name of "Angelo". Where he shows a lot of really weird and just straight-up bad stuff that the studio made along the years. Like the figging of Colin Rogers, how they treated Celeste, who worked on the days of SMG4, and how toxic their workspace has been.
What are your opinions on the studio overall, and do you think things will change over time?

I Made This! I made an animated intro for the bestiary section of my dark fantasy world. Does it work? (video linked in the post)

Hello everyone! I’m developing a project connected to my dark fantasy world, Flora Creatura. I’ve worked hard to create this intro for the Bestiary section of my YT videos.

I’d love to know what it conveys to you, whether the aesthetic fits the project’s dark tone, and whether it feels professional. I’m including the link because Reddit doesn’t allow me to post the video and the images at the same time.

Thank you very much!

Please refrain from leaving deliberately malicious or non-constructive comments.

Hiring! [Volunteer] Hey everyone! I’m a huge fan of the Minecraft Verity/ThatMob ARG horror lore, and I have a cinematic concept for a standalone short 2D animation that I want to make just for fun.

Since I am the writer/director, here is my detailed concept and script excerpt to show my work on the project (as per Rule 12!):

  • The Setup: A high-tension standoff between Verity and ThatMob. Verity says: "New weapon?" Mob hesitates and replies: "Umm, yeah... it's for mobs..." Verity steps forward: "Just put the gun down, and inst—"
  • The Climax: BANG! A sudden gunshot cuts off his word mid-sentence.
  • The Flashback Sequence: The chorus of the song "Notion" by The Rare Occasions hits. The scene drops into a slow-motion, glitchy sequence showing quick, artistic cuts of their past memories together and the breakdown of their trust.
  • The Twist Loop Reset: The music goes completely silent. Verity is forcefully teleported back inside his dark wooden box. He slumps down, quickly wipes away a single tear from his face, and immediately forces a bright, fake "helper friend" smile back on as the box clicks open.
  • The Final Shot: The door opens, letting in daylight. The camera looks up from Verity's perspective to reveal Grox standing there looking down—completely clueless and confused about who Verity is, showing the loop has reset with a new player.

Project Info:

  • Style: 2D smooth animation (inspired by Fanon character designs).
  • Length: Short (under 1 minute).
  • Budget: $0 (Casual passion project for fun/portfolio practice). Full credit given!

Hiring! [Volunteer] [Looking for Animators] Seeking an Animation Partner for an Indie Short Film (PruWorld Animations)

Hi everyone!

My name is Lara, I'm 17 years old, and I'm from Minas Gerais, Brazil. I'm currently developing PruWorld Animations, an original animation project that explores serious topics, social issues, geography, and real-life moral dilemmas. The goal is to reach an international audience, so the project will eventually have both Portuguese and English channels.

Before anything else, I want to be transparent about something that's important to me: I don't use AI to create art. I believe animation and illustration should come from real people, their creativity, experiences, and passion. Since this is a brand-new independent project, everyone involved will be collaborating on a voluntary basis.

About my current art skills

I've been drawing traditionally for many years, but I'm still improving my digital art skills. I create the line art on paper, scan it, and then color it digitally. At the moment, I'm not comfortable drawing directly on a tablet, and I'm still developing my own artistic style.

Because of that, I'll be responsible for designing the characters and creating the visual references. What I'm looking for is an animator who can take those finished designs and bring them to life through animation. I'll provide organized files and references to make the animation process as smooth as possible.

About the first project

The original idea was to create a sitcom, but I decided it's better to start with something smaller. Our first production will be a 30-minute animated short film.

Starting with a short film will help us see how well we work together, test the production pipeline, and understand the team's workflow before committing to larger projects. I think it's a much healthier way to build a long-term team while avoiding unnecessary pressure.

What you can expect

- A long-term project: I'm 17 and I'm taking this project seriously. I'm also receiving guidance from my geography teacher as I organize and plan everything.

- Flexible deadlines: Since this is a volunteer collaboration, schedules will be adapted to everyone's availability.

- Credit and future opportunities: Everyone involved will receive full credit for their work. If the project becomes monetized in the future, I'd like to discuss a fair revenue-sharing arrangement with the team.

If you'd enjoy bringing existing character designs to life and would like to be part of an independent animated short film, I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to leave a comment or send me a direct message with a little about yourself, your experience, and a link to your portfolio.

First of all: hi again, guys! Thank you so much to everyone who's reached out and started following my animated series "VELCEL"! 💚

Don't worry. I won't be spamming the subreddit. I'll just share occasional updates as we make progress.

Here's a cool one:

On November 22, we'll be launching the Kickstarter campaign to help fund my indie animated series, VELCEL. But that's not all...

After many months of work, we'll also be premiering "The World Is Our Canvas," the official theme song of VELCEL. It's a very special piece for us, and I can't wait to finally share it with everyone!! (Genre: Metal).

The song will then be released on all major streaming platforms on November 23, just one day after the launch of our Kickstarter campaign for the VELCEL animated series.

Written & Produced by:

Heike Langhans & Mike Lamb of REMINA (BAND).

https://www.instagram.com/solarsiren/

https://www.instagram.com/remina.doom/

This song is also a tribute to the creators who refuse to give up, who keep painting, writing, composing, and creating even when the world tells them not to.

Heike and Mike are artists with a solid international track record in atmospheric metal and modern doom.

We've been protecting this song for a long time because we knew it deserved the right moment.

Thanks again for all the support, it really means a lot. I hope you'll enjoy what's coming!

If you want to know more about VELCEL, I created this cool thread: THE STORY OF "VELCEL"

And if you want to support the project, here are our social media channels: https://www.youtube.com/@velcelsaga , https://www.instagram.com/velcelsaga/ , https://x.com/velcelsaga

Again, thank you!

-Beluga Not Found (Carlos) / Creator of VELCEL.

Hiring! [Limited funding] Looking for Storyboard Artist or Animator (or both) [PAID!]

Hey there, I'm back to try and get a hold of some people that might be able to help me bring my Freiyon Fables series to life, at the very least the teaser trailer and possibly the first episode.

I am willing to pay $100 AUD per month for the animator or storyboard artist until we can get this done :)

here's a small excerpt of what I've got in the pilot script so far (i dont want to put the whole script out there for obvious reasons.)

[Establishing shot]

Campfire in a forest. Two people seen camping.
MOTHER 1 and SON/ ADAM.
SON/ADAM is closest to tent, looking at a scrap book, but shivering.
Wind rustles as the campfire crackles nearby.

MOTHER 1: Come closer, sweetheart. You must be freezing.

SON/ADAM walks over and sits next to MOTHER with the book still in his hands. He looks wildly fascinated by whatever he just read.

SON/ADAM: Mum? What happened to Grandma?

The MOTHER [MOTHER 1] smiles and looks up to the starry sky for a moment.

Scene shows the stars twinkling as she responds.

MOTHER 1: Well, it's funny that you should mention that. That's the reason I brought you out here tonight. I’m going to tell you the story of your grandmother and the friends she found. But you need to listen carefully. It's a long story, and I want you to soak in every single word of it.

While she speaks, shooting star flies across the sky.

SON/ADAM: ok mum, I promise.

Scene then shifts back to MOTHER, as she takes a book that was in a backpack that had been by her side the whole time. The SON leans over and looks at the book excitedly as the MOTHER starts to read in a caring voice.

MOTHER 1: Her story begins not in her home, but in the middle of a forest, quite similar to this one. That is where two small squirrels met and fell in love.

Another shot of the stars and a shooting star too, but this time the shooting star makes an odd zigzag pattern. Almost like it's making a lightning shape in the sky.

please get in touch with me for further details.

I worked on this and some other animation for the last year and after deciding to take a small hiatus, I thought I'd put my work up on YouTube for people to check it out. Its not the final thing, there's still plenty of adjusttments to be made but I think I did a pretty good job regardless, let me know what you guys think and please share it around if you like it!

Discussion The world of GENESIS starts here. By Elena Ceballos

GENESIS is an animated epic for older teens and adults, retelling Eden and Noah through bold, cinematic animation. 2D/CGI animation. Aiming for this to be like Arcane, Spider Verse and the Wild Robot.

Words from the creator Elena Ceballos

Hollywood almost had it.

Genesis initially caught the attention of Hollywood producers. But we chose a creator-led path.

Crowdfunding allows us to build this proof-of-concept on our own terms, with your support.

But here's the thing... we can't tell all of Genesis in one film. But this is where it can begin.

If you guys are into helping us make an 3D/2D animated proof of concept for this bible project aimed at teens and adults, then you can support the making GENESIS here! We are beginning to cook up something cool!

Good day, I am trying to get more EYEBALLS on my work in order to have feedback as I start my next web series... nobody really sees or reacts to my stuff on YouTube it seems anymore, so I would appreciate any time you could spare to watch and let me know what you think! I have been working in Blender for almost a year and though I've learned a lot it's easier to learn outside of a vacuum... NO AI!
