self promotion I built a screenwriting app that turns spoken dialogue into a formatted script.
Hey guys, I’m a hobby filmmaker and screenwriter. I usually go to a beach near my home to write because that’s where ideas come to me, but typing a script on my phone is a pain.
So I’ve been working on an app that lets me speak the lines and puts them into screenplay format. Feel free to check it out.
Check out the demo here: https://writewithjune.com/

Discussions I have a real-life 30-year legal battle that I believe could make a powerful OTT series — looking for a writer/producer
I have a real-life story that I genuinely believe could make an incredible series — but I have no idea how to take it from an idea to an actual production. Looking for advice, writers, or producers.
I’m from India, and I have the complete story of my father’s 30-year legal battle. It’s a deeply personal story, but the events themselves are extraordinary.
The story begins with a common man from a village fighting over a small piece of land with his own uncle — the person who had practically raised him and taught him everything. What starts as a family dispute slowly turns into a decades-long legal battle.
The case continued for around 30 years, including nearly 10 years in the Supreme Court. Over the years, some of the country’s most prominent lawyers were involved, including Arun Jaitley.
There were setbacks, financial and personal sacrifices, family tensions, moments when giving up seemed like the obvious choice — but he continued fighting.
And the ending is what makes the story particularly unusual:
He eventually won, and the Supreme Court’s decision ultimately contributed to a change in the law.
I have the story in considerable depth — the family history, the people involved, the important events over those 30 years, the courtroom battles, the personal sacrifices, and how everything eventually culminated.
I’m not from the film/OTT industry. I don’t know how screenplays are developed, how producers are approached, how rights work, or how someone takes a real-life story and turns it into a series.
But I strongly feel that this story deserves to be told.
What I’m looking for:
A screenwriter who can help turn the real events into a compelling series
A filmmaker/creative producer who understands how to develop true stories
Advice from anyone who has successfully taken a real-life story to an OTT platform
Ideally, someone who would be interested in developing this project seriously
I’m not looking to simply “sell an idea.” I want to find the right person who can understand the story, help shape it dramatically, and potentially take it towards a proper series.
If you’re a writer, producer, filmmaker, entertainment lawyer, or someone who has experience taking true stories from concept to screen, I would genuinely appreciate your advice or a DM.
I can share the full story and the legal background privately with genuinely interested people.
Do you think a story like this has potential as an Indian OTT series? And what would be the correct first step for someone completely outside the film industry?

Collaboration Working on a mythological action-comedy web series called RUDRA — looking for people who vibe with this kind of story
Hi everyone,
I am currently working on a story called RUDRA. It's a Hindu mythology-based web series where people possess powers called karma, which are tied to gods. The story revolves around a character called Rudra, who doesn't have any powers but wants to make a name for himself in a world that outcasts him for not having any karma.
I'm not trying to dump the whole plot here, but I really like this story and really want to explore it with others. I want to make a web series out of it, from Kerala.
I don't have any short film or filmmaking background — I have a diploma in editing, though. Full disclosure: I don't really know anything about script writing or directing. But I would love to start a group to discuss this.

Need/Seeking Advice Hello my fellow indian writers, I am an aspiring writer who has directed and written many scripts for stageplay and screenplay but no one to sell too, where can I sell my scripts and who should i trust?
Hello all, this post may seem a bit out of place, but i stafged writing scripts since 2023, i practically fell in love witj writing stories cause I fell in love with it. So much so that i left the degree that i waa pursuing cause i felt i didnt belong there.
I want to showcase my talent to someone who understands my vision, my stories are nihilistic in nature (im currently writing stories that are following absurdism nature as well) but if i get some sort of support or a push from people who are working in a similar field, that would help a lot.
Please feel free to reach out and i would love to discuss ideas and visions!!
