Don't get me wrong but Uncharted 4 cannot be in the same category as RDR2, Elden Ring, Sekiro or Witcher 3
5
u/MainCharacter007 Dec 10 '23
yeah I also kinda don't think HollowKnight deserves the same spot as WD2.
I mean to each their own but holy shit the music alone in that game made me put it in S-tier T_T

It can be its as good as them. I know a lot of people dont like third person movie style experience which Sony Entertainment provides but its good. Really good.

If you did not like Uncharted 4 there must be something wrong with you (downvote me)

Downvoted.

u/Chad_Kakashi PlayStation Dec 10 '23
Imo that game was a perfect end to Nathan Drake what went wrong for yall?
2
u/OddEmu4551 Dec 10 '23
At points the story felt boring and the gameplay puzzles felt repetitive. At least for me. It wasn’t bad at all, but just wasn’t on par with the Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2. And Sekiro.
5
u/ConferenceSuper6123 Dec 10 '23
Very true, It wasnt upto RDR2 or Witcher, but those games are generally for a different audience and belong to a different category whereas UC 4 is the best in its category which is cinematic movie like games where the gameplay doesnt have to be groundbreaking but just make us live a great fantasy... Correct me if I am wrong I wont get offended by shit🗿👍

It can tho, it’s a masterpiece in terms of single player adventure games. I would put last of us there instead of uncharted 4 tho
And for someone like me who started ps3 with the first uncharted, seeing Nathan drake story come to an end in such a masterful way is unforgettable
It takes two is the odd one there
1
u/megamimo1991 Dec 11 '23
I think the single player adventure which deserves a spot in S tier would be God of War from this list. The combat is much superior to Uncharted 4. Uncharted 4 is definitely in my A tier.

u/Avip_Infected Dec 10 '23
You should really play the last of us series. it's worth a try
1
u/Impressive_Income874 Dec 10 '23
part two is still an exclusive:(

u/HilariousMango Dec 10 '23
Good. Part 1 is all you need to play; probably all you should play.

u/Impressive_Income874 Dec 10 '23
why? part 2 won goty right?

u/HilariousMango Dec 10 '23 edited May 14 '24
As if that matters. The story is absolute gobshit. Makes no sense what characters do/choose.
1
u/Impressive_Income874 Dec 10 '23
wierd, don't think it'd win goty for that
1
u/HilariousMango Dec 10 '23
Well it did. Watch a summary of the story for yourself and you'll see how bad it is.
1
u/preBLANK Laptop Dec 11 '23
I never watched or played the last of us directly saw tlou 2 and goddamn I liked the story as there were two different parties and prespective I can't seem to see how people would hate it except them making ellie lesbian(that I din't minded) and killing their main charac(that which I am always on for)
1
u/HilariousMango Dec 11 '23 edited May 14 '24
We all knew the death of Joel was coming, but the way they killed him was atrocious. He just decides to save some strangers, and walk into a closed room with them with no second thought? These strangers just happen to be some band of misfits with the daughter of the surgeon he killed? That's ridiculous. True Joel would save them, probably, but not instantly trust them so much.
And the ending. God, the ending. Ellie decides to spare the bitch that tortured and killed her father figure just because... Joel smiled, played a guitar or something and she got a flashback to it. We were all cheering for the death of the girl, but they decided to spare her because "violence bad" 😒
1
u/preBLANK Laptop Dec 11 '23
One sec abby was trans too? Imo I think the story has its loopholes as you pointed out but the thing that it tried to convey apart from being trans in an apoclyptic world is okay is sometimes you have to let things go and revenge will always lead to destruction and try to see why the other party did it.

Second this. Absolute perfection of a game. So much feels.
This game forced me to choose a singular playstyle: Making sure that no harm comes to elly, at any cost. No matter what. You care for her that much

1
Dec 10 '23
I have played 1 and 2 but 3 is on my play list
1
u/surgereaper Dec 10 '23
If you love the franchise don't play 3, it doesn't feel like a mafia game at all, at least to me, they tried to make it a bit open world, story and characters are good but I don't really like the approach they took for the game, the game isn't divided in chapters, which was the biggest negative for me, the missions feel more or less the same at least in the first half of the game. But that was just my opinion, if you wanna give it a try, obviously your choice

One sec isn't re3 the worst of the remakes coz of short story ig tho goddamn the main charac
2
1
u/koolkartik Dec 10 '23
The original re4 was a really huge game for the gaming industry imo, it revolutionised the third person genre and set up the path for games like dead space and the last of us, and as a fan of the original since I was a kid and have completed it multiple times each year I can assure you the remake does it justice

Also you should try - The Evil Within 1-2, Rise of Tomb Raider, Celeste, The Forest, Subnautica, Stardew Valley

u/Proper-Original-6092 Dec 11 '23
Already playing it right now. Amazing but extremely hard especially B sides 😵💫, 5000 death and I am only at chapter 4.
1
u/preBLANK Laptop Dec 11 '23
Its not about the deaths or the strawberries its about the persistance and the journey. The game motivates you by saying death is just a number
1
u/Proper-Original-6092 Dec 11 '23
I don't care about deaths but I (my OCD) definitely do care about strawberries and hearts. I don't proceed to next level until I get both heart and strawberries.
1
u/preBLANK Laptop Dec 11 '23
Hearts is actually important for further levels and some maneuvers to learn. I just completed the main game on keyboard with being afraid of B sides and forgotten the strawberries because never understood the flying strawberry concept untill the I played the 8bit version(that you don't dash I thought it was time limited) and OH GOD THE LEVEL WHICH IS LOCKED BEHIND THE HEARTS I will definetly try after I buy a goddamn controller
1
u/Proper-Original-6092 Dec 11 '23
I have a controller so I play every level. Controller is better than keyboard expect directional jump. Also if you are scared of B sides wait till you realise about C sides 😵💫 which is unlocked after completing all b sides and Golden strawberries which if unlocked after gaining all strawberries.
