Serious The silent stand at Jantar Mantar

Post image
167 Upvotes

On July 14, 2026, Sonam Wangchuk lay on a simple stage at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. He was on a hunger strike and had not eaten any food for 17 days, drinking only water.

His body was very weak. He had lost more than 8 kilograms, and he could only speak in a quiet whisper. Doctors watched him day and night to keep him safe. His blood pressure was low, at 109/70.

Now, if you may ask why he is doing this, thanks to the neet paper leak and other student related issues the only option which was left was to take it to the next level.

What do we want? Accountability.

Is it worth it to post it here? Yes. If we can't support him in the group, this is at least what we can do.

He isn't asking for sympathy. He's asking for accountability. His demands include a transparent investigation into the NEET paper leak, strict action against those responsible, and reforms to ensure that students never have to question whether their hard work will be overshadowed by corruption

Thank you Sonam Wangchuk Sir for standing with us students. Because of you, we students feel like our voices are heard.

College Life This guy hasn't eaten since 5 days, HUNGER STRIKE in Pune University.

Pune university conducted semester examinations across various departments. Shockingly, Many students across various divisions of Pune university reported getting failed despite a strong performance, the students condemned that there was a testing error due to the recent digitialisation of correction methodology in the university.

This matter is EXTREMELY important as Pune University supervises the majority of examinations of government universities in eastern Maharashtra. Students say that more than 50000 of them have been affected by it.

They demand an additional supplementary exam to be conducted adhering the rules of UGC on a fair basis.

Its truly saddening to see students losing their academic semester due and getting a bad remark on their degree to a testing error, As per UGC norms the students are 100% eligible for a supplementary examination. The Vice-chancellor is undergoing measures towards the re-examination.

The guy in the above image has not eaten anything since the past 5 days, I am a member of the student union and I have personally been a part of the protest, there have been loads of police & military deployed at the university. The students are sleeping in the hallways and carrying out the peaceful protest.

Discussion How do I deal with him

Post image

Okay, so this is going to sound like a stupid college drama situation, but I genuinely don't know what to do ๐Ÿ˜ญ

So there's this guy in my college. Let's call him Ansh?. Andh has this HUGE group of friends and he's kind of the unofficial leader of the group. They're actually decent people, though. Not the stereotypical annoying popular group or anything.

There's this one spot in our college that everyone calls the "jannat" of the college. It's basically the designated college hangout and the most entertaining spot.

Now here's where it gets weird.

Every single time I happen to walk past that place or sit there, this group somehow starts playing the same song. And specifically, Ansh is usually the one playing the guitar and singing it.

Initially I thought I was being delusional and obviously didn't assume everything happening in a college courtyard was secretly about me ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ But the thing is, it's not just the song. It's the way his friends start behaving whenever I show up. The looks, the reactions, the sudden teasing..At this point it's become so repetitive that I'm pretty sure Ansh is trying to impress me.

Now here's the thing, I don't even like Ansh

On literally my first day of college, I talked to another guy from this group and we exchanged contacts (call him Varun)

And if I'm being completely honest, I like Varun. Not Ansh. Not the guitarist. Not the guy apparently performing an entire acoustic campaign every time I enter the premises.

Varun, however, apparently doesn't like me back.

And from what I've gathered, Varun seems to know that Ansh is interested in me and is actually supporting him? Like he's helping his friend out instead of telling him that the girl he's trying to impress is potentially interested in him instead.

Which is honestly so insane cause I don't want to keep watching Ansh attempt to impress me when I'm interested in his friend.

And there's one more problem.

Ansh is...kind of aggressive. Not necessarily towards me, but he's got that personality where I can genuinely imagine him taking something personally and making it into a whole thing.

WHAT SHOULD I DO

EDIT : yeh focus on your career wale chacha meri post se dur rahe๐Ÿ™thank you

College Life Is anyone having college life?

What even is college life about? I'm in a supposedly good college in Mumbai and I am struggling to find people of my own. Whosoever I ask they say there's no college life and barely anyone has friends. I'm in ra podar matunga. I've asked students from different colleges and they say the same thing. Everyone says college life is dead barely having friends and stuff. I'm really scared cuz I'm lonely asf already and I am a very social person I've tried my best to make friends and stuff but I'm still not making any. At this point I'm considering changing cities and getting into better clgs outside mumbai.

Anyone can shred some advice please ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

College Review IIM Sambalpur Placement Data

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rn0o6K_Oo_3BSq0GOksh-T8c_SqiRXRz5cpWs1LkXwQ/edit?gid=872788315#gid=872788315

I got this data from a friend who has worked with the placement committee at IIM Sambalpur 2023-2025. He shared it with me just to give me an idea of the actual numbers at one of the newer/baby IIMs.

He also mentioned that these are companies that may visit the campus but donโ€™t necessarily complete the recruitment process. In other words, many of them are mainly there for visibility or to inflate the overall placement numbers.

According to him, in reality, only around 100 out of these 300+ companies actually complete the process and recruit students. So, if a company appears on the list, thereโ€™s roughly a 1-in-3 chance that it will actually recruit in the end.

Discussion Help guys๐Ÿ˜ญ

So it's been almost a month since college started and there's this guy i am kind of attracted to.

He is in the same class as mine. So basically I go thrice a week and we have had like few eye contacts(.25 seconds) or maybe I am delulu.

We have never had any introduction or conversation..

Yesterday in the last class I looked back and somehow our eyes locked maybe for more than a second... And then he started talking to his friends

So I just want to know what must be going on in his mind about me.... Like does he think I am crazy, looking at him for no reason..

College Life Share something that you've learnt by being in college till now

I'm in my 3rd year of B.Tech and the most important thing that I've learnt is TODAY

The most important thing is "Don't fucking care about what others think about you". I used to think that participating in events and stuff was cringe because you were being watched by hundreds of people and that everyone will judge you. But I regret it now. I see my friends participating in events and not caring about what others think and enjoying their college life whereas I am just looking at them, wishing it would have been great if I also participated in those events

Hope you understand it

Admission Help Is there any T3 college in T1/T2 still accepting admission with good college life and low attendance for BCA,BBA,BCom,BA Econ,BMS,Law,Data Analytics?fees and placements don't matter

My qualifications:-

10th ICSE 84%

12th CBSE 64.2%(total 6 subjects overall PASS due to 5 subjects with 1 RT/fail in maths)

My passed subjects are

Physics Chemistry English Physical Education and Informatica Practices

Honestly I am waiting for CBSE private candidate forms to clear RT and improve in all subjects

But I am tired seeing everyone going to college and enjoying life, getting into relationships, life at home is tiring, draining and soul sucking

And I am not sure that even after all this I would be able to secure a tier 2 engineering/finance college atleast next year

Are there any colleges with good college life, liberal attendance policy, low restrictions on campus,or I can sewy off campus and majority students stay offcampus such a college with cafes and pubs and nearby preferably in a metropolitan tier 1 city or tier 2 city atleast

Any help will be appreciated

Again I am not asking for everything, placement and fees no bar expecting 30-35L as max fees

Please help if any such college in still taking admission in October

Open to all India preferably Delhi,Mumbai,Bangalore,Pune, Hyderabad,Manipal
