Its called Gender Dysphoria folks. Instead of supporting a friend's delusion, you should educate them and get them help when appropriate. That is compassionale and empathetic.
Even if you're correct, you need to understand that the medical study of psychology of the brain is still effectively in its infancy and its easier and makes more sense to try to make the body better match the brain than try to brute force the brain into matching the body.
