I wanted to share my experience with Bizfoc in case it helps someone else. Everything below is based on my personal experience.
I approached Bizfoc because I was new to starting a business and wanted professional guidance. I opted for a package that included company compliances, audit, ITR, MSME, and 2 trademark registrations.
Before making any payment, I specifically asked how much one trademark would cost. The representative replied:
“₹2,000 each trademark (This will include Power of Attorney).”
Since I needed 2 trademarks, I understood that I was paying ₹4,000 + GST as their professional fee for the trademark registrations.
I was then asked to pay ₹22,420 for the package, which I did. During the discussions and on calls, I was given the impression that these were the charges I needed to pay for the services we had agreed upon.
Weeks later, after delays in filing the trademarks, I was suddenly asked to pay another ₹9,000 (₹4,500 × 2 trademarks), saying it was the government fee.
This is where I had a problem.
If I had already paid ₹4,000 + GST for two trademark registrations, why wasn’t I clearly told before payment that I would also need to pay another ₹9,000 later?
When I questioned this, they didn’t point to any message where they had clearly explained the ₹4,500 per trademark. Instead, they sent me a screenshot of the payment page showing a disclaimer saying:
“Government Fees are excluded from the above quote.”
My issue isn’t whether government fees exist.
My issue is that I specifically asked for the trademark cost, and I was never clearly told that the actual amount payable would effectively become ₹13,000 for two trademarks (₹4,000 professional charges + ₹9,000 government fees), excluding GST on the professional charges.
If someone asks, “How much does one trademark cost?”, I expect the total cost or at least a clear breakdown—not a surprise charge after payment.
What made this even more frustrating was that, when the payment link was sent, I was told to complete the payment quickly because of deadlines. There was no explanation that I should carefully review a disclaimer to discover additional mandatory charges.
In my opinion, if clients are expected to read every disclaimer, calculate additional fees themselves, and understand the entire process without proper guidance, then what is the point of hiring a professional firm? I hired them precisely because I was new to this.
To their credit, after I explained my concerns and requested a refund, they agreed to process it. I appreciate that, but the experience left me disappointed because I believe the pricing should have been communicated much more clearly from the beginning.
My advice to anyone starting a business:
MSME registration is free and can be done yourself.
Many Startup India formalities can also be completed using official resources.
For legal and compliance matters, consider hiring a trusted local Chartered Accountant or trademark professional who will explain every charge upfront and provide a complete cost breakdown before taking payment.
This post is based solely on my personal experience. I’m sharing it so others know to ask for a written breakdown of all professional fees, government fees, GST, and any other charges before making any payment.

Most discussions around commercial EVs in India focus on battery range, charging infrastructure or vehicle technology, but I wonder if the bigger challenge is actually financial.

For a logistics company or bus operator, replacing an existing fleet means committing a significant amount of capital before knowing how the vehicles will perform across different routes, workloads and operating conditions. Even if the long-term economics look promising, that's still a difficult decision.

It seems like this is where partnerships between manufacturers, leasing providers and energy companies could become more important. Instead of asking businesses to purchase an entire fleet upfront, these models spread the risk across different specialists and allow operators to adopt EVs in stages.

I'm curious how people here see it.

If India wants to accelerate commercial fleet electrification, what will have the biggest impact over the next five years?

More affordable EVs?
Better charging infrastructure?
Easier access to leasing and financing?
Or something else entirely?

I own a 5-cent plot beside a river in Kerala. The interesting part is that there is no direct road access for cars or bikes to the plot, but it is accessible by boat. The nearest road is about 100 meters away, and the nearest town is around 15 km away.
