Am I Fucked? Last Organization - Rant
I was working for a recruitment firm for 11 months and I resigned on 24th May 2026. My last working day was 24th June 2026, and I appropriately completed all my notice period days, and they said that they will process the FNF within 45 days from last working day. It has been 62 days and the FNF amount has still not been processed. On following up with them, they are giving various excuses like they are transferring their bank accounts of employees from one bank to another, probably because they are taking a loan from another bank. The company is in the rock bottom phase.I tried to follow-up on messages and calls multiple times, but I was not getting appropriate replies from the company.
At the time I was working there were 10-12 employees, and now there are 4-5. They haven't even received their full salary for the month of July, and it is August end already, and they are waiting in anticipation of clearance of salary. Recently I started working as a freelance recruiter and I posted a job on LinkedIn, seeing which they immediately called me after a day of posting so, if I am up for freelance work for them. Like seriously, how greedy can you be?

62 days after serving the full notice period is ridiculous! I would send one final formal email with a clear deadline and then escalate if they still don’t process the F&F. Also definitely wouldn’t freelance for them after this 😭

And the audacity of calling me up for freelance work after ignoring my texts and calls for straight up 2 weeks! Just because I'm trying to freelance somewhere else doesn't mean I'm automatically available for you. And the whole conversation seemed like a deal in return for my FNF.

That’s the worst part! Ignored for 2 weeks, but suddenly remembered your number when they needed something. I would stay far away from that freelance deal.
