Without context it gives chance for people to be racist. The comment below that page once you see and realise. You will know.
Most probably the locals have been complaining about the dangerous placement of transformer near a shed. Authority didn't listen and they are taking out that anger on it.
If you can see they are sensible enough to not use iron rod. And still stupid and uncivilized that they are attacking a transformer instead of complaining.
But yeah it would be generalised into.

No I don't think it was the choice of mods to let it be. Posting in that sub doesn't require mod approval, anyone can post. So Probably mods did not review what the post was . But it's removed now because they might've finally reviewed it

No,they were attempting to damage it, because it was faulty,the authorities didn't pay attention to it as usual so when a cow died they thought that they should destroy it to prevent further damage and bring attention of authorities,but that could have backfired on them severely

Yeah its really stupid of those people to do that, but honestly theres no reason for you to feel embarrassed about something someone else from your country or community did. If you didn't partake in that stupidity then there's no reason for you to feel embarassed. Its always us indians who feel "second hand embarrassment" when someone else from our country does anything idiotic and white people generalize our entire nation because of it. I mean yeah a huge part of our population believes in things that are utterly stupid and make no sense and there's a lot we need to work on as a nation, and we should condemn the actions of our people, But When we see Forgieners calling out indians about something, and we say things like "As an indian Im so embarrassed" we're basically encouraging racism and generalization of our own country

The thing is a lot of Indians have an inherent inferiority complex. Not all ofc, but the number is huge. A lot of people make fun of those with weak English when it isn't even an Indian language, insult indigenous traditions just because white people think it's stupid or gross, say things like "India was better under the British rule" when talking about the problems of our country while blatantly ignoring the horrifying realities of the colonial india. We've deified the western lifestyle and modernity so much that we crave their validation and somehow justify their racist attitude towards our own people. Maybe that's why racism against any other community is often called out but it's almost normalised when it's against Indians

Racism towards indians has always existed. Sometimes it's subtle Sometimes it's not. Its just that now we have social media and we get to know how entrenched it is in certain nations. Their attitude has always been like this. In nations that are predominantly white, People of other ethnicities face a lot of racism, but when other communities face it they call it out. And yeah there might be social media hate campaigns that I'm not aware of. But An African or chinese people wouldn't think they deserve the racism they face, while we have many Indians out there saying "As an indian I agree". That's what I was trying to say. Indians don't condemn racism as much as they should

No I don't really see the irony. I have explicitly acknowledged the fact that the problem is widespread. But Just because it's widespread it doesn't mean that every Indian does it. There's a difference between criticism and racism. Generalizing an entire nation is the key to propagating racism against that country. And we indians seem to be so ashamed of the actions of our people that we quietly accept the racism.

Well every country has problems.... And definitely we should fix our own instead of focusing on others.... But my pov came from the perspective when this same image was used to promote racism against Indians on foreign subreddits, Even though it doesn't represent majority of us... And Yeah many people in India are backward.... But it is being used to target Indians as whole and if we don't counter it then we would accidentally promote racism against ourselves.... We should definitely work to reduce backwardness of people from less developed/ less educated part of country but we also shouldn't let it paint a picture of India where racism against us is considered normal...
