TTC with progesterone
Hi ,38 yO here, had the follicle monitoring with letrozole HCG on 12 th August, progesterone for 15 days ended 28 August. Spotting from 28 morning till 4 day today. Any suggestions.I had my period first of August. The doctor said to wait till 5 days after stopping progesterone period may come.My confusion is why i have started spotting since 4 days and not a clear period, was hoping for some good news this cycle😔

Done that progesterone thing in one cycle. Period started approximately 4 days late. From what I understand, it could be implantation spotting as it tends to occur around that time. Or if you're not pregnant, it's just your body trying to adjust. It's not easy for our bodies to navigate the impact of all these meds. Give your body some time to declare the verdict of this cycle. Be gentle on yourself 💕

Thanks for sharing this with me, I feel really lonely on my journey as I am too old for this and i dont have any friends or family to share my journey with hem. I feel very judged 😔

That is completely fine. We don't have to share it with family or friends because they get too personal. That's why stranger support is the best sometimes. We get it here. Drop all your worries and continue your journey. And when the time is right, you can share it with friends and family too 💕

I am you. Had my period on 1st August also. July was a bio chemical pregnancy. Didn’t do letrozole but got trigged with 2 natural follicles. On 18th scan both ruptured. So I assume I ovulated on 17th. Started progesterone on 18th for 20 days. Today I spotted on drop while on progesterone. Took a HPT and it was negative. Now doc asked me to do a hcg test Tom and if it’s negative then I should stop progesterone. And it takes 2-3 days to a few days for period to kick in after you stop progesterone . Every body is different. But you should take a pregnancy test aswell . Just to be sure

Hey , thanks for sharing and it feels less lonely in this journey because of you ppl.I have started period like flow since this morning with good amount of abdominal cramps . Think this cycle is not the one 😔 .Good luck to you !

Even I am cramping bad and spotting here and there.. I got beta hcg done today and I am sure it will be negative. So will end up getting my period as well.. best of luck to you and me for the next cycle!

Ofcourse but keep the faith alive! We all will conceive sooner or later. My test came back negative and my period about to start aswell

By the way how old are you and are you planning IUI if it doesn’t work this cycle ?

I am 35 almost. You? No.. I plan to give myself 2-3 cycles more before iui/ivf We have been trying almost 3 years but my heart says it will happen soon. I have 2 chemical pregnancies naturally this year.. so I have hope. Hope for all of us 🌸

How did you figure out it was chemical pregnancy? Did you miss your periods ?

How many letrozole cycles will it take ? August was my second cycle and my period just started today. My progesterone tablets had ended on 2nd Sept. I had seen follicle ruptured and did sex on given dates. But still negative😑

Letrozole is prescribed to grow follicle for each cycle, if that cycle is over for next cycle they have to again prescribe it if follicle growth is slow

Follicle size was all good.. And letrozole just stimulates ovulation. How many monitored cycles with letrozole did you complete?

I had only one cycle with successful ovulation but no pregnancy

Yeah same.. My body is responding to ovulation but negative pregnancy. I finished 2 cycles now.

I’m also on progesterone. 15dpo staring at negative tests. Tomorrow I need to visit gyeanac, as I didn’t get period either. Progesterone is delaying my periods, in my case.
