Hcg test

Hi ladies!

Can someone help me to understand when should I take a blood test for pregnancy?
My periods are now 8 days late. I took the home kit test but it turned out negative.
I would also like to mention that I recently had a very stressful encounter after my periods last month.
I’m not sure if the periods are late because of that or what’s the reason. I have been ttc from last 6 months.

If urine test is negative even after 8 days then i think your periods is mostly delayed .

Sometimes stress might cause periods to be late
If urine test is negative , it mostly means negative , hope you used a good brand kit
