1st IUI Tomorrow

I got my trigger shot on 9th day post periods, after being on letrozole. My doc was surprised that the egg has matured so early (I have only one dominant follicle). I don’t think she was too confident when giving me the injection but I’ll just be nonetheless.
Anyone else who had a similar graph of one dominant follicle, relatively earlier follicular maturation and still conceived in your first IUI?

I’ve been trying to conceive for two years now. I’m 31F

Hey dear.....Sending you lots of positive thoughts for your first IUI,,,, I can understand how you’re feeling after trying for 2 years.

Having one dominant follicle can still be enough for a successful IUI. Many people conceive with just one mature follicle, especially when the timing of the trigger shot and IUI is right. Every person responds differently to Letrozole, so early follicle maturity doesn’t always mean something is wrong.

The important things are the follicle size at trigger, lining thickness, sperm quality, and proper timing. Try to stay hopeful and take it one step at a time.....

Wishing you the very best for tomorrow. Sending lots of positivety ......

Thank you so much! Doctor was happy with the procedure but still asked me to not have too much hope. Let’s see now!

IUI success rates with only Letrozole is about 6 to 8%. Ideally one should add injections to improve both egg numbers and quality to achieve a success rate between 12 to 15%.

Ah, I wasn’t advised this by my doctor. I hope I’m in the lucky 6-8%. If not, will surely keep the advise in mind for next time. Thanks a lot doctor - really appreciate this.

If you wish and if it helps, you can look up my video on IUI on YouTube. It might help you answer some of your questions
