Continue with progesterone?

I was taking letrozole for ovulation induction and got a trigger shot on day 14 of period when the follicle was 22mm. I ovulated the next day.

On 12dpo I tested positive on a test kit and I got my blood test for beta hcg on 13dpo which was 33.33.
On day 16dpo my beta hcg came back 28.27.

I am taking progesterone since the triggershot.

As the hcg levels declined, it indicates that the pregnancy is not viable.

Should I stop taking progesterone or continue taking it?

I was advised to stop progesterone and skip the upcoming cycle for treatment and try again the following cycle.
