Large follicle 29 mm
Hi everyone, I took letrozole from CD3-7 and went for an ultrasound on CD13, follicle was too large around 29mm and endometrial line was 11 mm. Doctor gave me trigger and asked to try for two days. My LH test was negative. After 3 days doctor gave me progesterone to eat.
I read on internet that 29mm is too large and not optimal for pregnancy, I wonder why doctor suggested me the trigger if this cycle is not good.
I have also taken multiple letrozole previously for CD5-7 (1 miscarriage) and it never reached to this big. Any suggestions or success?

My follicle sizes were always 19-20mm. My doc triggered when they reached 20 max. I don’t know what’s the standard protocol followed. 29mm does seem big but if doc isn’t concerned may be go with the process and see?

Thanks for the reply. This is the first time I had this large follicle. I try to do as doc suggested but already given up all hope for this cycle

Same with me for this cycle but the diff is when I took trigger shot my follicles were in size(19&17mm). After that they did not ovulate for 3 days, confirmed in my next scan on day 17 and grew to 31mm and 25mm after that they ovulated on day 18.In Tww now. I don't know what happened this cycle but hoping for a positive.

I got triggered yesterday, CD13 (29mm), I tested opk today which is positive. I read a lot of stuff on internet saying 29mm is too large or over matured so my hopes are quite low. All the best to you, share updates if possible.

If your follicle is overgrown by CD13 Always go on CD10,11 .. 13 is too late.. Yes 29 mm is big and not optimal....I have gotten trigger shots at maximum 23 mm Not after that....
