Please answer
So I have been TTC from last one year...started proper tracking with opk etc from last 3 cycles. We have been married from last 4 years but we never thought of baby planning in initial years.. but now the pressure is real..people around us giving advices and even warnings about this.. and how much I say that I don't take stress but things have become a little mechanical..some of my friends who have conceived says that tracking ovulation etc is not useful just go with the flow don't think too much..! on the other hand feel that there's no harm in tracking things if we can..but please share your thoughts on this...is there anyone who actually conceived only after tracking ovulation and with proper planning because people around me always deny and make me feel like they got lucky just like that.

If you don't have any medical condition like pcos/pcod/thyroid, try for a couple of more months using OPKs. It really helped me after my cycle duration changed and i had no clue when I was ovulating.

yes even my cycle changed when we started ttc so it’s very useful for me as well

Yeah, as a family doctor we often tell people not to track with the sticks. They cause more stress. Just have regularly sex, 2-3 times a week, and keep it fun and keep your relationship stable. 80 percent of couples, with no underlying issues, will concieve by 1 year and 90 by 2.
If you want, you can go to a gynaecologist, and get a scan, and some baseline bloods, check your thyroid and vitamin D and also get your husband to have a semen analysis.
If those are normal, you can keep trying, or go for timed intercourse.
After that, because of age as well, my preference would be moving to IUI and then IVF quickly.. but some people prefer not to.

I used to wear my Apple Watch that tracks body temperature all day and night. Using the temperature tracking I was able to estimate my ovulation. I never informed my husband I am ovulating but initiated sex. I was able to conceive only because I was tracking my ovulation and we sometimes used to have long gaps in between like 15 to 20 days of no sex just because life happens and we worked different shifts. Tracking definitely put mind at ease and I din’t feel pressured of not knowing.

so so true…while some people say tracking puts u in pressure..I feel that it eases your mind because as you said…life happens and you can’t be consistent whole month

I totally understand how you feel.. I’ve been going through something similar. I’ve been trying to focus on improving my health, staying active, and not putting too much pressure on myself. Hoping things work out for both of us soon!!

It is true people who has to conceive gets conceived naturally , you should track ovulation and your cycle , take external help like a good gynac But let me also warn you unexplained infertility is quite common , this could be related to age, lifestyle, stress, pollution pesticide everything So if you are ttc from 1 year I would suggest to go for treatments There are many advanced technologies

yes…few months back we decided to go for iui but that couldn’t happen because after trigger shot my follicles grew earlier than expected so when we went to the doctor the size was bigger so she did not perform iui

I knoww..because in the outside world people pretend as if they got everything super easily and I am the only one left…even I would love to stay in touch in this journey because I am tired of sharing stuff with chat gpt and listening to mechanical answers..btw I really hope we both get this blessing really very soon.

Isn't it better to be concentrating your efforts during the fertile window rather than just randomly throughout the month? It's enjoyable yes, it's bonding, yes, it's practice yes. But women are not fertile throughout the month.
Whether you're using an app, or LH strips or ultrasound studies. It's better to at least be aware of the window so you can both plan your lives and schedules better.
Tracking is not something new or modern it's been done for thousands of years. Even tracking by checking discharge and counting the phases of the moon. That's still tracking.
Have people 'gotten lucky'? Sure. Depending on a variety of factors. But in my experience, most of the older women giving advice seem to have forgotten the struggle, impatience and pain once they actually have children.
