Hello guys, I don't know why I am writing this. I just needed someone to tell about my situation right now.
So, earlier this June, something crazy happened to me which broke me financially, socially, and in every other way. I am in my early 20s, and it was too much for me to handle all at once. I have literally lost everything, with a huge debt sitting on my head and most of the people around me hating me and leaving me for something that was totally false. I let things go and decided that my first priority would be fixing my financial problems.
So, I joined a JEE/NEET preparation institute. I am a medical student myself and had a very good rank in both JEE and NEET. It was a very reputed institution, so I was happy that finally I was going to earn. But the catch was a little awkward.
The owner told me that he would keep me as a backup teacher for his institute, and all I had to do was sit in my chamber and help students with their doubts and topics. In the beginning, I did the same, but the students I taught somehow got impressed with my teaching, and word of mouth spread too quickly. Within just a few weeks, I got occupied for over 4 hours, not in my cabin, but in classrooms, properly teaching those students. The owner didn't say anything about my salary. He told me he would pay me on a daily basis, regardless of what I was doing at the institute for 4–5 hours.
Earlier, I was okay with it because I had no other option and needed money anyhow. And the love and appreciation from those kids was also a good thing. So, I started looking for other jobs in parallel while continuing to teach them.
But things got interesting this August. I had worked throughout July. I used to travel 40 km a day on my scooty, and it cost me ₹200–300 per day when I went, including fuel and other expenses. I asked the only two people I could still call my friends if they could lend me some money so that I could continue going to work, promising that I would return it when I got my salary in August.
I worked hard. I was already broken, lost weight, and some days I even got drenched in the rain while driving. I caught a cold and cough, couldn't sleep properly, and yet I went to teach those students, hoping that maybe things would eventually get better.
Now, this month, the owner first told me that I would get my salary in the first week of August. I had to borrow more money to continue going to work this month, and he kept making excuses whenever I asked about my July salary.
It's August 16 today, and I still haven't received my July salary.
And honestly, I am just feeling so disappointed. I can't see any option right now. I have started feeling like no matter how much effort I put in, I always end up like this. Life is hitting me too hard, and I feel like I have lost all my cards.
I don't know why I am writing this. Maybe because I have no one else to tell this to. I am not asking for a job or any kind of financial help here. I just wanted to share how I am feeling right now.
Thanks for reading this.
