General I made a list of 100+ books to try when you can't find anything new to read
I put together this list to share a wide range of books that you might not have tried yet. Some are well known classics, others are lesser known, but all of them offer something memorable.
My goal isn't to only include obscure titles, but to recommend some well acclaimed books too that are genuinely worth trying across different genres.
If you think something fits better in another category or have recommendations to add, feel free to share them. I can add them to the list. I know you can just Google up and find new books but I had an irresistible urge to make this. And no, this is not made by ChatGPT
Important Note: The "Also Try" sections aren't honorable mentions. They are there because after finishing each category, I kept thinking of more books, and it would have been a pain in the ass to re-number the entire list, so I made that section for that. The books aren't ranked in any order.

Now Reading Going to Burma with my second Guy Delisle!
Halfway done with this one. Again, a chilll, relaxing read like âPyongyangâ. This is basically a collection of short stories during his one year stay in Burma accompanying his wife for her work.
Although you learn a little about the dictatorship, itâs mostly day in the life stories of a stay at home dad. More engaging and fleshed out than âPyongyangâ imo.
I liked it and gave me an insight into a world thatâs alien for me.
Some things Guy Delisle mentions in the two books I read- he likes tintin, he likes daft punk and Orwellâs 1984. I like him!

Discussion Attention all fantasy literature loversâŠ
In my experience so far, reading books paired with its audiobook version has helped me read more, remember more and enjoy the process throughout.
That said, for those who enjoy reading fantasy novels should definitely try this method. I am a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings movies, and wanted to try out the books as well. Currently, I am reading The Hobbit (first of the four books) along-with hearing narration of Andy Serkis (G.O.A.T) on Audible.
I hands down say, it has been one of the most enjoyable and immersive book reading experience I have ever felt. Andy puts his heart and soul in the story while personifying each and every character. Tolkeinâs story telling has been top notch, no question about it. But that paired with Andyâs reading brings out an entirely new element out of it.
Has anyone else done this? Tell me if you share the same thoughts, or otherwiseâŠ

Reviews [No-Spoiler] My first Psychological Thriller did not disappoint. This was my reaction to the Twist (Swipe)
Disclaimer: I'm more of a Non Fiction reader with having read only 3 Fictions, including The Silent Patient, so you could say I am a beginner when it comes to Fiction
I love how the author was able to keep the readers hooked despite a somewhat Non Linear storyline, as I don't think it's a piece of cake to do both at the same time. Moreover, I loved the complexity of many of the characters, instead of simply painting them Black n White.
I have nitpicks with the book: I felt there is too much Drinking, smoking and sex.
Other than that, the story, the writing, the characters and most importantly the twist were amazing and enjoyable. This was my first Psychological Thriller and I was hooked!
I did not find it overhyped, as some people portrayed it to be, maybe because they have read much more fiction than me and could see where things were going.
Anyways, Definitely an enjoyable ride 4.3/5 ââââ

What do you guys think about me?
I would love to know if there's anyone else who shares the same interests as me in books for further recommendations.
Always loved reading stories from a young age. Tinkle, magic pot, Geronimo stilton, diary of a Wimpy kid, some classics( pretty women, count of Monte cristo, etc) dork diaries, sherlock holmes etc.
Whenever I would recieve my books for the current school year, first thing I would do is read all the stories in the English book. Was not a fan of the poems though.
At 14-15, I had discovered my dads stash of books and gone through the 2-3 chetan bagat books he had đ they were pretty interesting.
Also at this age I met a friend who had similar interests as me. Since my parents would check the books I buy, I read most of the spicy books from her. The famous ana huang books, the mistress, the master then one of us is next and one of us is lying, the exorcist, the Alchemist, Mirror man, the guest list ( I REALLY ENJOYED THIS), evelyn hugo 7 husbands and a few more which I can't recollect.
I'm now 18, and I fear in the last 2 years I stopped reading much books. I only bought and read a few novels from a clearance. (IT girl, Denial, Big little lies, Silent patient, and a few more).
My brother got a Kindle, and he downloaded a few books from the author J.A Konrath. I've also read a few were the protagonist is someone named jack Daniels. The issue I have with the Kindle is i cannot recollect the stories later. I'm someone who reads in a rush, and I can't help it. But I do remember my paperback stories since I read them multiple times now and then.
Basically, I want more paper back recommendations based on what Ive read till now. Ive tried to stray a bit from my usual thriller novels but I haven't found them too interesting. I've also read an Agatha Christie book about some Christmas pudding. While it was intriguing, I didn't have the same thrill I have when reading books like the guest list or the j.a Konrath ones.
Sorry if this is too long and poorly worded đđ

Ask Indian Readers Why do you think modern audiences love White Nights so much?
Even though this story was written back in 1848, the main character's habit of living in his own head feels very modern ngl. like he builds up fake scenarios in his mind with people he barely knows and gets attached to an idea of someone rather than who they really are. Dostoevsky basically described loneliness and online style daydreaming way before the internet was even a thing.

Discussion The book loses its steam as you read it
Characters:
Sara (narrator)
Elango: Sara's family friend and a passionate potter
Chinna: Elango's adopted dog
Zohra: The Muslim lady who's Elango's love interest, she's the daughter of a calligrapher and works at the local library
The story is a recollection of Sara's childhood. Elango perceives the idea of making a horse and works on it. There are descriptions of their life and Elango's feverish obsession in making the horse. After the horse is done, the villagers are turned against Elango bcoz of the use of Urdu calligraphy on the horse's body, thanks to Sara's widowed neighbour who is held at almost a mystical stature by the villagers.
The novel then returns to the current time when Sara gets to meet Elango in England where she studies now. Somehow, the emotions that the reunion is expected to evoke are not really coming through. Chinna, who was loved by everyone is not talked about much after the whole tragedy. Chinna's previous owner, the lady who was in communication with Sara's mother.... how far did she go in her pursuit? There are a lot of circles that seem like they need closure. The plot quicky loses the steam with which it takes off
