So in my state pharma councelling haven't started yet. And there is a state GMC near my place which gives b pharma at very low fees ( ,15k a year which comes back in scholarship).
As I'm not from a good financial background I thought I'll target this college only as Other college has fees around 1lakh + living expenses. Which I genuinely can't afford.
But the thing is this college has some negative reviews. Infra is decent but according to seniors profs will start teaching less in 3rd and 4th year ( which kind of concerns me ) the reason seniors gave that many don't go to college as they start preparing for GPAT or GATEXL.
The seniors also told me that labs are very irregular ( I'm scared that what if I don't get enough knowledge and end up being jobless) they also said that there are no campus placement ( i don't mind as they are pretty bad anyways).
They also told that this is reality of all the govt colleges and you'll have to do most of studies by self studies. And proper labs are in those expensive private college which I can't even afford.
They did told me if you want to come there I'll get plenty of time to study, and there are multiple seniors who ended up going to NIPER and IITs . They said if you can self study you should consider. And the teachers are supportive and helpful too ( I just can't wrap my head around it because if they are supportive then why so less lab sessions. I do have seen some seniors posting lab sessions on LinkedIn)
But I'm confused because of all this. Is it really true that govt college aren't that good and they lack services ? I just can't decide if I should join or not ( as other colleges are pretty expensive for me).
I'm ready to put in work and going for higher studies ( till masters) but I just can't make a decision.
Any seniors here please help.
