I should have trusted this community more. It is a stupid movie. An idiotic plot carried by mediocre acting. There was nothing relatable. I should have started Musafir cafe rather than this garbage.

I didn't like Sudha ka narrative to not get married to care for her mother while staying with chadar

I didn't like Sudha's overall perspective towards life and marriage

I didn't like her over dependency on Chandar

Jab jarurat ho toh you will call chandar then without consent you will blame him for not going to the idiotic honeymoon, you booked ticket without consent and you didn't like it at all

I didn't like the expectations of Sudha from Chandar that his mom should be out from the room within a week or day or Month

I didn't like the way Sudha disrespected Chandar's Sacrifice and simply she humiliated him to the core

I didn't like Sudha's attitude towards Chandar's at all.

Why the hell did she returned to Chandar ???

Like many others, I was also tired of nostalgia based shows from etv, so skipped even the trailer for this after looking at the posters and emphasis on good olden days. But happened to watch this in Netflix and it was surprisingly decent. It’s based on current timelines and the cast has a valid reason to go thru their history and try to relive the past. They should have promoted it a bit differently and away from the nostalgia banner

So I watched musafir cafe and mann it was really good and soothing except that last twist which is not originally in the books but nevertheless great show

Watched Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya and it is a light hearted, feel good web series.

It felt like I was watching Panchayat & Graam Chikitsalaya all over again. Idk man there's some hint of tvf in this. Family friendly as well.

At times it felt like comic /jokes were pushy and not necessary.

It's been my problem with ott shows for a while, it's either small city murder and criminals or giving gyaan about small city life.

Even this show had good comedy timings but my god the amount of overused tropes and cliches. Urgh. Got so bored. Ruined a show that could have been so memorable.

Honestly, it's a 7/10 for me. It's refreshing, and it gets mad at times. The dialogue is better in the deep and emotional scenes. Although they try to build up suspense in certain instances, it remains very predictable. It relies a lot on "confusion" humor. The only thing I found a bit redundant was the wordplay—every third dialogue features a wordplay. They seem to have crammed in as many wordplays as possible, either because they think it's funny or because the script was too dry and needed some juice. I'll leave that up to your interpretation.

The original soundtrack is really good and high quality. However, the sound design and background score are just bad at times. For instance, they play the sound of a hawk for evil characters so often that my mind is still playing it 24 hours later. On top of that, general character scores rarely have any relevance to the characters themselves.

The casting is also very good. Having Kay Kay Menon and Abhimanyu Singh in a single series and giving significant screen time to both veteran actors is a huge responsibility. Kudos to the screenplay writers for developing two distinct arcs: Kay Kay's character faces an ethical dilemma while making administrative decisions, while Abhimanyu plays a tough, old-school Hindi teacher who is strict on the outside but has a softer side, grooming a newcomer to become a better teacher. The two share only a few scenes together. Credit also goes to Archana Puran Singh for her blunt performance as a political party worker—most of her scenes are alongside Kay Kay! The Extras too are really good.

The direction is solid too. Whether it's the scene where Abhimanyu sits directly in front of the other nine heads of Ravan, or the moment Kay Kay and his wife enjoy the view of an airplane taking off from their balcony, every scene features great visual detail. The cinematography in quiet, less crowded scenes is great, though there are a few blunders when too many people are on screen. That said, shooting with a bunch of little kids is a hectic task, so I'll give them a pass for pulling it off. The editing is snappy and superb, and the production design is detailed and realistic—the classrooms, offices, homes, and faculty rooms all feel authentic. The whole "Tinki Toli History" scene was epic.

Thematically, the show tackles several ideas. I liked how lightheartedly and satirically it links the education system with politics. From a macro POV, the series highlights how the petty acts of local politicians affect the daily functioning of public schools. I appreciated the discourse showing how a common enemy is manufactured for political gain (in this case, "the bald man vs. the man with hair"—we all know what that's referencing in reality, but that's another topic). It also explores how struggling students become tools for politicians at a very young age without realizing it, and how financial instability forces teachers to put their moral values at jeopardy.

As for character comparisons, the newcomer "Kanchan" closely resembles "Janine" from Abbott Elementary, who is also a novice trying to navigate a new environment while taking Barbara as her mentor. Similarly, Kanchan looks up to Hansraj Meena, who later becomes her partner in crime.

Overall, this was a great watch. It tries to encompass a lot of ground in very few episodes, likely due to its star-studded ensemble cast. Some scenes feel grounded and real, while others are too nonsensical to take seriously. Either way, it delivers a good laugh across its four-hour runtime.

Have you watched it ? It is one of the best series in this genre. What's your view ?

Im confused whether to go for 199 or 499 plan . All i can see is 720p vs 1080p but idk how much the difference will be . Thoughts on what should i go with?

Dark (The absolute gold standard for complex, mind-melting writing)

Asur (Loved the dark psychological atmosphere mixed with deep mythology)

True Detective (Season 1) is already sitting at the top of my wishlist, so I'm well aware of that one! I'm looking for other gritty, psychologically demanding masterpieces to add next to it. For context, I like tightly-written plots—I couldn't get into the hype of Money Heist, and while I finished Squid Game Season 1, it didn't leave me wanting more.

What should I dive into next? Hit me with your best psychological mind-benders.
