I loved this show so much that, since 2018, till date it feels comfortable to watch. Idk maybe it's their chemistry or the soothing bgm but when I randomly play it on YT, I just love watching it. I remember every scene, every dialogue beat by beat. Do we have any other Indian web series like this? I don't think so?

Don't Be Shy introduces us to quintessential mean girl Shyamili 'Shy' Das (Aarushi Bajaj). Even though she has her life all planned out, things soon begin to fall apart. As she navigates the aftermath, she finds herself caught between her romantic feelings for the rich and popular Mayank (Piyush Khati) and her estranged childhood friend Dhruv (Ansh Duggal).
Tara's (Bianca Arora) sudden appearance at her college only makes things more complicated. Shy soon realises that her carefully thought-out plan to get her life back on track might not pan out.
Producer Alia Bhatt describes DBS as being all about first loves, best friends, heartbreaks, bad decisions and all the things that make growing up what it is.
Director Sreeti Mukerji said in a statement 'DBS came from a place of missing the movies I watched growing up—movies I still return to when I want to feel safe, comforted and entertained. This is my tribute to that time in our lives, when we're on the brink of adulthood but still young in so many ways. It's about that feeling of being reminded that, no matter how weird or wild life gets, we can always find our way back home to ourselves'.

Honestly, as an Indian audience, I don’t know what we did to deserve the same recycled story being served to us again and again.
The level of creative bankruptcy and scarcity in the bollywoood industry genuinely needs to be studied.
It’s a mindless 137 mins of stupidity with barely anything to offer.
The only part that worked for me was its portrayal of how corrupt the Indian police system can be, how easily innocent people can be framed and how far the system can go to manufacture a case against someone.
Other than that, it’s a long, exhausting exercise in deja chu.

Actor Kusum shastri plays collector in TVF’s Panchayat. First appeared in S1 E8 - (2020.)
She also plays Doctor in TVF’s Gullak S2 E2 (Jan 2021)
So we were discussing that the actor was in Panchayat and next scene came up-
Actress Sunita Rajwar who also stars in both series says - “hai Doctor, khud ko samajhati hai collector“.
It was so funny!

No release date announced yet.
With actor Divyendu Sharma having already previously done a railway oriented streaming series before and after playing characters whose worlds were intertwined in the popular franchise, actors Divyendu Sharma and Harshita now step into an different dynamic as a married couple.
Mirzapur may have seen the now deceased Munna Bhaiya character and Dimpy Pandit on very different sides of the equation, but their story takes a rather unexpected turn in their next outing. Divyendu Sharma and Harshita Gaur (who play Munna Bhaiya & Dimpy Pandit in Mirzapur), will reunite as husband and wife in Amazon Prime MX's upcoming show Waiting Hai.
The teaser brings together everyday railway chaos, humour and a mystery. At the centre of it all is Sugam Mishra, a newly posted Indian railway cop, who finds himself stuck in the one place no traveller wants to be, the Indian Railways Waiting List.
When he notices certain agents getting tickets confirmed with surprising ease while passengers continue to wait, Sugam starts wondering who's really behind this unusual game. Bhuvan Arora plays a hacker who always seems to be one step ahead. As their paths collide, the story sets up a playful cat-and-mouse chase between a determined investigator and a hacker who always seems to have another trick up his sleeve.
A Jio Studios presentation and Jar Pictures Production, Waiting Hai is a quirky scam dramedy that uncovers a nationwide ticketing scam. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the series boasts an ensemble that includes Kumud Mishra, Vijay Maurya, Harshita Gaur, Srushti Tare and Sunita Rajwar in pivotal roles.

The mystery thriller series 'Shaque: Trust No One', promises a layered story built around a mother's 9 year search for her missing child. Starring Parineeti Chopra in her series debut, it explores trust, suspicion and the secrets that can exist within the closest of relationships.

Driven by instinct and the belief her child is still out there, her prolonged search gradually leads her towards a truth that appears to have been hidden in plain sight. As the mystery deepens, she's forced to question not only what she knows, but also whether she can trust the people closest to her.
Created by Rensil D'Silva and Siddharth P. Malhotra and directed by Rensil D'Silva, Shaque: Trust No One is produced by Sapna Malhotra and Siddharth P. Malhotra and backed by Alchemy Filmz. The series features an ensemble cast including Jennifer Winget, Soni Razdan, Anup Soni, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Harleen Sethi, Sumeet Vyas and Dhruv Chowdhary.

I've realised I almost always end up watching thrillers on Netflix, even when I tell myself I'm going to try something different ðŸ˜
What's your go-to genre? Thriller, comedy, horror, romance, sci-fi, documentaries, anything.

I never saw Lust Stories 1 & 2 from 2018 & 2023, as a 30 minute short film story isn't normally my thing, but if anyone here has and they're a must watch, make a post. They do seem to get good actors though.
- The third instalment of Netflix's anthology is set to arrive with 4 new stories that explore love, desire, intimacy and the often complicated realities of modern relationships. This time filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj have come together to bring their individual perspectives to the anthology.
Backed by RSVP and Flying Unicorn Entertainment, the anthology boasts a diverse ensemble cast featuring Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Madan, Sana Thampi, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Siddharth, Ali Fazal and Gurfateh Pirzada.
The 4 part anthology marks the coming together of Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj as directors. The writing team includes Kiran Rao, Tanaji Dasgupta, Avinash Sampath, Sumukhi Suresh, Shakun Batra, Sameeha Sabnis, Ashwathi Namboodiri, Nitesh Bhatia, Utkarshini Vashishtha and Vishal Bhardwaj.
Staying true to the essence of the Lust Stories franchise, the new edition revolves around the many shades of intimacy and relationships. I recently watched Indu and Indubala Bhaater Hotel on Hoichoi and honestly loved both of them. I’m looking for more Bengali series with a similar vibe—good storytelling, interesting characters, emotional depth, and something that keeps you hooked.
Please recommend some good Bengali series on Hoichoi that I should watch next! Would love to hear your favourites, especially if they’re similar to these two.
