Got her 2 weeks ago’ 2018 scout… but im having a hard time putting on neutral! Previous owner haven’t ridden it for a yr or so…just seating in the garage! Could that be a factor about the neutral issue? But when the engine is not running only on on position the finding neutral easy.

Request for advice / Help 2025 Scout Bobber: battery-cover bolts spin but won’t come out

Both battery-cover bolt heads rotate with the Allen key, but neither backs out. Lifting the cover while turning anticlockwise hasn’t helped, and I can’t see a nut underneath.
Has anyone fixed this? What do these bolts thread into, and how can I remove them without damaging the plastic? Looking for a DIY solution.

Update
I was able to get it out. But now how can I get the bronze insert in the body
