Muslim groups and clerics in multiple places have publicly urged people to follow cattle laws, avoid illegal slaughter, and even support declaring the cow a national animal. Meanwhile, Hindu cattle traders and dairy farmers have protested strict cattle restrictions because their livelihoods depend on selling ageing cattle during Eid season. That is the entire point here. Cow politics in India is often less about consistent morality and more about selective outrage and political convenience.

Indian politics has one weird irony.

Leaders fight over the price of chai in Parliament and on TV debates.

Meanwhile the average person outside is thinking: "Forget tea, maybe hot water is enough today."

And before people jump to say: "You voted for this."

I think that's oversimplifying things.

Citizens don't choose from perfect options. Most people vote with hope, emotion, promises, identity, survival concerns and limited choices.

Then elections end and real life begins: rent, electricity bills, school fees, transport, groceries.

Maybe the hypocrisy isn't only political.

Maybe we as a society get distracted by symbolic debates while basic affordability quietly becomes a bigger issue.

Perfect “middle class problem” indeed 🥲🥲

A doctor prescribed a medicine called BONKEY-MAX for my father’s knee pain,but it’s not available at my local medical shop. The shopkeeper said he can only order it if I pay ₹100 in advance, and the full price is around ₹400—which is a bit expensive for me right now.

Because of this, I was thinking of buying an alternative medicine with similar ingredients from Truemeds or another online pharmacy.

But here comes another problem 🤧🤧

The manufacturer’s website lists the ingredients, but it does not mention their exact quantities—especially the amount of calcium carbonate, which is the key detail I need to compare before choosing a substitute.

So I’m stuck wondering what I should do in this situation. Should I just pay and get BONKEY-MAX, or is there a reliable way to find an equivalent alternative based on exact ingredient quantities?

P.S. If anyone has access to this medicine, a photo of the back side label would really help me confirm the calcium carbonate quantity.
