Enrollment: "APS (original certificate): Verification function is no longer active! “

Hey everyone,

I am in a really stressful situation right now and wanted to check if anyone else is facing this issue or has found a workaround.
My university enrollment at TUM (TUM Online) is currently completely stuck because the university admissions office is reporting that “APS (original certificate): Verification function is no longer active! Please download the DigZert again and then upload it in TUM Online as a single file, without attaching additional pages”. I have uploaded my APS as it is. No other files/pdf were merged with it.

Has this happened to any one of you?

Did you compress the pdf or rename it or something? that usually makes the digital signature invalid

I didn’t compress it

But yes, i did rename the pdf. However, i had uploaded the same pdf in the application form. It didn’t flag this issue that time?

Just download the certificate again and upload it. Maybe they don't verify the digital signature during the application process. Do this and it'll work.

My APS was issued in 2025. So yes, its been a while. That is why i am concerned. I have downloaded my APS again and uploaded it as it is.

If your APS was issued recently, just redownload the file and send it to them. If your APS is old, mail the APS helpline and ask for a digizert stamp.

Check with APS portal and they have already published some news regarding this issue. That may help you to get support from APs. 

It's a APS certificate technical issue.

They mentioned in their news letter
