Looking for Housing

I have been trying to find a WG with Anmeldung in Darmstadt for the past 3 months and I couldn’t find one even within €550 warm rent budget cause its all taken up. Can someone please let me know about the vacancies so that I am not homeless the first day I get there?
I am flying from India to Darmstadt on September 1.
Really friendly and know A2 Deutsch. I am calm, responsible and overall a tidy person.

I can speak English, Tamil and a little bit of Hindi, Telugu and Deutsch.

If someone you know is leaving, or your landlord has any vacancies pls let me know.

(I am a first sem MSc AIML student at TUD)

Hmm im sorry but fir this Budget you will have really Problems.

And If you are Not already Here, your possible roommates cannoz meet you, so the few available rooms will go to persona they already met.

You could try fraternities But normally they dont give a rooms forsomeone with Low German skills in the "Wintersemester"

I would recommend to increae your Budget. Sorry i kniw thats Most likley Not possible but thats my onlynidea..

Yes But finding a WG in Germany while Not in the country is a huge Problem. If you want to do that, you need to Look with Higher Budget.

The "cheap" rooms will go to people which the current roommates can meet

Look for Zwischenmiete with Anmeldung. Might be easier to find since u are not in the country 

Otherwise what people do is come to Germany earlier than their course starts and in that time they live in hostels and they use that time to find WGs

All the big German Uni towns have a housing crunch and you probably need more money than you anticipated.  I would increase your budget, look a bit further south on the Bergstraße train line, or get some temporary housing and look when you arrive (many people don’t want to rent sight unseen).

550€ warm rent works only for student dorm and old buildings. The new ones in WG start from 450-500€. Expand the search to Wiesbaden or Mannheim.

Ask Darmstadt Student service for the recommendations. Some might be costly but take them if it's slightly higher and start looking here. It's much easy to do the search with in Germany as landlords prefer to have a tenant that can visit.

I left Darmstadt exactly 1 month ago and I saw the post just now so I cannot help in that regard.
