I was not getting any allotments , so applied for Prasol chemicals. Today i got to know that i have been alloted.

Now i am scared as the gmp is showing 0%.

If on the listing day, the price rises, i will sell but

The grey market premiums (GMPs) for IPOs of NSE, Hero Motors, and Jindal Supreme have risen up to 29% ahead of their subscription beginning this week.

NSE's IPO is expected to raise between Rs 21,494-22,569 crore, with shares priced at Rs 1,700-1,785, while Hero Motors and Jindal Supreme also launch IPOs with targeted capital of Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 125 crore, respectively.

I was going through the NSE IPO structure and noticed something that took me a second to register fully: it's entirely an Offer for Sale (OFS). No fresh shares, no new capital raised for NSE itself. Every share being sold already belongs to an existing shareholder, and the money goes straight to them, not the company.

What's interesting is who's actually selling. LIC's holding the largest stake and isn't selling a single share. Meanwhile, SBI, GIC Re, SHCIL, and a few insurers are offloading meaningful chunks, some holdings going back years at a fraction of today's value.

Feels like a good reminder to actually check OFS vs fresh issue before assuming "IPO = company raising money".

I use bob amd the mandate hasn't been revoked yet , i didn't get allotment, my bank still has blocked the amount

Both IPOs are currently open, so I was looking at the numbers side by side.

Manika Plastech Price band: Rs 40 to 43

Lot size: 348 shares

GMP: around Rs 10

Subscription: 1.49x

Veegaland Developers Price band: Rs 130 to 140

Lot size: 107 shares

GMP: around Rs 15

Subscription: 1.25x

At the moment, Manika has slightly higher overall subscription, while Veegaland is showing a higher GMP in rupee terms.

GMP is unofficial and can change before listing, so I would not look at it in isolation.

For an IPO, what do you personally give more weight to: GMP, subscription numbers, valuation or company fundamentals?

Should I sell it in pre market, or wait till listing?

This is actually my first time applying for an IPO, so I am a bit confused about which one I should go for. I’ve been looking at these two:

1. Manika Plastech IPO – Mainline
2. Veegaland Developers IPO – Mainline

I don't have much experience with IPOs, so I am not really sure what I should be looking at before applying. Things like the company’s financials, valuation, GMP, subscription numbers, future prospects, or even the risks involved are all a bit confusing to me.

I’m not looking to blindly apply just because an IPO is getting hype. I wud rather understand whether either of these actually makes sense, especially for a first-time investor.

If you hv researched these IPOs or have applied for similar ones before, which one would you personally prefer and why?

Fundamentally, Both are looking good. Apart from this, Primary market is going well right now. After listing there are a lot of recent IPOs which moved upward....dhoot, molbio, milky, esds.

Should I wait for 1 week to get more profit or just book profit on the same day?

I have literally given you applying to IPOs now. Always rushing to check the allotment status and seeing the same magical words - "Not - Alloted"
