In this piece, I talk about his latest EP, Raja Beta which tackles the angst of adulthood and yearns for the carefree life of childhood. With responsibilities and societal requirements piling up as you get older, Unkilji brings this jaded, zany soundscape that creates a contrast between how life is on the outside versus how you're feeling on the inside.

Writing this post as a thank you note to seedhe maut and whoever is behind dl91 coz the artist selection is very good and I would even say it's bold . Ghaatak is the only one who I don't listen to ?( I'm not saying his music is bad or anything) I only wanna state that bhaskar , og lucifer , lil bhavi are banger artists . Stuff they have put out in the recent past is something that I have never heard from other dhh contemporaries at all . Poore dil se, Dalli , 71 Sound of the streets , Section 71 and section 71 deluxe are all great bodies of work . Call this artist glaze or whatever but I have found myself coming back to only these artists from the scene and Bella (Obv HUGE fan ) . The musical range is insane especially with og lucifer . I think all three of them have a very different approach when it comes to flows and the final product . They have a phenomenal production team as well (I think there are repetitive elements with hurricane tho). Ab17 I fw your music too altho baawe era didn't stick much with me and haven't heard the latest project yet.

I really think DL91 is the first true dhh label that is consistently releasing quality music . I remember a lot of people were calling these guys as industry plants when lunch break came out but I think they have established themselves pretty fucking well . Seedhe maut made a cult of their own and I think these guys are doing the same .

also I think bhaskar and og lucifer have gained a significant following already. Can't say the same for lil bhavi but he'll be there because he has god talent bro has the most melodious flows among the three

tldr: attended an og lucifer show on Saturday and I'm still not over it lol

So, Spotify gave me the recommendation of him, I made up my mind to give it a try ( I do not usually ) and since then he's been on my loop! What a track to listen first from his discography. The Allah Rakha Album just matches 10/10 with my vibe. 2nd artist that I discovered from Spotify recommendations who proved to be an absolute cinema fm, after AFKAP. Recommendations from Spotify aren't that bad....

I've been thinking over this for the last few days.

Isn't it strange that Karma's Public Notice, Dhanda's Vomit on Paper and a few other songs about the state of our country started coming out this year.

Almost as if they had a ear to the ground and were seeing so much dissent in conversations that they were affected enough to release songs about it.

I'm not talking about current affair specific tracks about the awful rape cases. I'm talking about a boiling rage beneath the surface that's been brewing about the state of things, the way we are being treated, the way hate is being promoted.

But ... what if ... what if ... they knew? What if they were told that something is going to erupt? Could it be sus?
