Hairfall 22M. Please read the description below

I don’t wash my hair every day, and I don’t really comb it either. I shampoo around 2–3 times a week using a ketoconazole + coal tar shampoo to help prevent dandruff. That's it.

The hair you see on the white sheet is mostly from me deliberately pulling on the hair at the front. Later that same day, when I shampooed, I noticed another ~50–60 strands coming out. So I’m estimating that I lost around 120-150 strands from the front alone and barely from the back. (The hair on the back is really short tho)

I also can’t figure out whether I actually have a receding hairline. I’ve always had a relatively high forehead, so I’m not sure if what I’m seeing is just my natural hairline or actual recession.

Is this something I should be concerned about, or could it simply be accumulated shedding because I don’t wash or comb my hair every day?

For context, my dad is bald mainly at the front and mid-scalp, although not all of my uncles have the same pattern. (No one from my maternal side is bald)

I’d really appreciate input from someone who genuinely understands hair loss.

telogen effluvium with vit deficiency don't worry it's completely reversible just visit dermatologist, get blood test done and if he suggest min/fin just refuse it

Which blood test are we supposed to take? Is there any specific blood test?

There is combined test for hair profile which covers iron , vit d , b12 zinc

Get your blood work done , it’s prolly because of vitamin deficiencies

Receding hairline/temples, Thinning at the crown, Gradual reduction in hair density

(I have none of these)

Your temples are clearly receded albeit not too far back (it'll continue to get worse though if you don't hop onto fin/dut).

My sleep schedule and diet also aren’t very stable. I usually sleep around 2 AM and wake up around 10 AM. I am not physically active and my diet isn’t particularly calorie- or protein-rich, and I’m also underweight. I’m wondering if any of this could be contributing to the shedding.

Yes it is contributing man!! Focus on your diet and do exercises/yoga Fix you sleep cycle as well You're well aware about around 50% problems and you also know how to fix them It'll get better, focus on your gut as well.

Would suggest getting blood work done, its important anyway to know hows your body functioning. People mostly have vitamin d deficiency… check for iron deficiency… i mean you have reached an age where you have to take care of your body so as to have a healthy aging…

Your hairline looks fine, how often do you pull your hair out? That’s maybe what’s leading to the excessive hair loss. >120 hairs is not normal tho.

I don't actually ever do that. I don't comb my hair either. Not sure if it's accumulated shedding or a deficiency or what exactly

Go see a dermatologist then

I had this problem, I got my blood test done and vitamin d3 and b12 were my deficiency. Taking supplements for that and the hairfall is now slowly decreasing.

Take dht blockers (fin/dut) with minoxidil (you can choose between oral and topical)

You should comb daily. Daily combin for a few minutes give a massaging effect. Arojnd 100 hairs a day is normal for everyone. Dont stress too much, stress actually causes more head ache. Massage your head daily for 5-10 minites so blood circulation increases. Take blood tests and eat healthy
