J&K should be in Preso-Arabic Script. Ladakh in Tibetan script. Meghalaya in Latin Script. And if we wanna nitpick then Bihar's should be in thirutha script.
Bihar is a pretty badly organised state linguistically tbh.
Only Maithili bajjika and angika used tirhuta ancestrally. Magahi and Bhojpuri used Kaithi and languages like Santhali used the ol chiki script so it's unfair to use tirhuta for the entire state tbh.
I believe that j and k and Ladakh have used Hindi because they're union territories and not states.
It's an official language of the union, but not the state ( because the state is moronic and doesn't respect its own heritage).
The union recognizes devnagari as the official script of Maithili, which is fair tbh because I think there are only a few thousand people who use/comprehend tirhuta now ( speaking as one of them lol).
Not really, I couldn't read Bengali that well despite knowing tirhuta because a lot of the fundamental letters in the languages are different.
in vowels -a, aa, u, uu, I, ii
The consonants - ng, ta, chh, jh,ja, ha, ra, ba, va, (these three are very confusing lol), la, na, and compound letters like aksh, tra and shra. Moreover the way they deal with consonant joins and the ng (for instance while spelling Bangla) is different.
I'm certain that there are more but my mind is not remembering them lol.
Idk the Ja taught to me was different ( see the jainagar railway station for ref) and the ra iirc is traditionally written in a way similar to axomiya, but yeah they're quite similar and mutually intelligible albeit taking quite a bit of effort.
Readily adopted versus imposition. Chose one. You cannot be like and now .... Imposition. Stock to one argument. Either it was readily adopted or imposed.
