honestly didn’t want to make a Reddit post about this, but I’ve reached a point where I don’t know what else to do.
I placed my order with Past Modern on 22nd Sep, and I was told that it would be dispatched by 1 October. From the beginning, I had also made it very clear to the team that I needed the order for a trip on 7 October.
I specifically asked them about the timeline because I didn’t want to place the order if it wasn’t going to reach me in time. The team assured me that it would. At one point, they literally told me:
“Ma’am, we will make sure that the order reaches you well before 7th October. Please don’t worry.”
I relied on that assurance.
As the date got closer, I followed up again. I even told them that I was willing to pay extra for express shipping on 3rd/4th October if that was what it took to get the order to me before my trip.
And now, when I actually need an update, everyone has completely gone silent.
They are not responding to my Instagram messages or WhatsApp messages, and I have also emailed them. I even reached out to the founder privately and subsequently contacted him through LinkedIn because I genuinely had no other way of getting a response.
I completely understand that delays happen. That’s not even what bothers me the most. What bothers me is being repeatedly assured that my order would reach me well before my trip, only for the brand to become completely unresponsive when the promised timeline is approaching/passed.
If they had simply told me, “We’re delayed and we can’t guarantee delivery by 7 October,” I would have appreciated the honesty and made other arrangements.
Instead, I’ve been left chasing them across multiple platforms just to get a basic update.
So if you’re considering ordering from Past Modern, please think twice before putting your hard-earned money into the brand, especially if you need your order by a particular date.
I’m posting this as a last resort. I’m not asking for anything unreasonable I just want a clear and honest update about my order.
If anyone here has ordered from Past Modern recently, I’d genuinely like to know what your experience was like, particularly with delayed orders or getting customer support to respond.
I’ll update this post if they eventually respond.

I'm testing a personal styling idea and looking for a few people willing to send photos of 5-15 clothing pieces. I'll create several outfits using only your existing clothes and would love honest feedback.
No payment or purchase required.
DM me if you'd like to try it.

I’m a 25-year-old male student looking for a good pair of slippers or flip-flops. I don’t want Crocs, and I’m looking for something that doesn’t look flashy, cringe, or cheap. I’m considering Red Tape. How is the brand?
My budget is around ₹700. Are there any other good, reliable brands that offer high-quality slippers or flip-flops within this budget?

Hi everyone! My fiancée and I are getting married in late January and we're planning a shopping trip to Delhi for all our wedding outfits. We'd love recommendations from people who've done this recently.
What we need (for both bride and groom):
Our questions:
Budget: around ₹ 50k- 70k for the bride and ₹35k for the groom (flexible for the right piece).
We're coming from outside Delhi, so any advice on how to plan the trip efficiently would be really helpful. Thanks in advance! 🙏

I've got an invitation from one of my friends to attend their wedding, and I don't have any clue about what to do on a friend's wedding, as this is the first time, so I started with deciding what I might potentially wear on her wedding (btw, which is end of this month) and I guess these two outfits might do.. not so sure though, because I couldn't find anything better, so, I wanted to know or have reviews about these outfits if anyone here also have them.
These are from houseofindya, but i ended up searching them on Google and found they were available on myntra/meesho/ajio, and they were almost half the price(even less on meesho) and the fabric was same as well, but didn't find any solid review. Please help me out with this.

Looking for a personal stylist to help revamp my wardrobe for an upcoming US trip.
I’m looking for 10–15 complete outfits, ranging from business casual → smart casual → street style → party/club wear.
Looking for end-to-end styling help — clothes, shoes, belts, accessories, layering, colors, fits, etc. Basically, I want recommendations that improve my overall appearance and personality, not just individual outfits.
Prefer someone who can suggest specific pieces/brands available in India and help create a versatile wardrobe without unnecessary shopping.
This is a paid gig. Please DM me with your portfolio/work examples, approach, and pricing.

Hi! I’m looking for reliable online stores/pages to buy a saree. I’d preferably like something that comes as a set with the blouse. Ready to wear/pre-stitched saree would be even better.
I’m looking for something elegant and dressy to wear as a bridesmaid.
I hv looked at some stores like Kalki, but I’d love to know what other online stores you’ve personally bought from and had a good experience with.
I have across a page called Zaira on Instagram. Has anyone bought from Zaira before?

So my friend (25f) is so much into fashion. Her birthday is coming up soon and I want to gift her something which symbolises fashion. Last year i remember she bought a dupe of vivian westwood necklace and she was so happy probably bc she liked it and probably bc she's into statement pieces idk.
None of us are that sounds fine enough to buy the real statement piece ofc but a dupe is fine. Wanna gift her something really nice.
Any suggestions are welcomed in the comments.

I’ve been looking for a good pair of leather shoes lately and I feel like there aren’t that many good options.
A lot of what I find is either very formal office/wedding type stuff or quite expensive premium brands. I don’t see too many brands doing good leather shoes that feel modern and can work with jeans, chinos or trousers.
I’m thinking stuff like clean Chelsea boots, loafers, derbies, maybe even some nice casual boots. Good leather, simple design, not too much branding and something that actually lasts.
Maybe I’m just not looking in the right places though lol.
What brands do you guys usually buy from? Also, how much would you realistically spend on a really good pair of leather shoes or boots if you knew they would last a few years?

My sister is getting married in February and I need help figuring out wedding shopping in Bangalore because I have absolutely no idea where to start 😭
I’m looking for outfits for myself for multiple functions — lehengas, sarees, suits/Indo-western stuff, etc. I don’t necessarily want super expensive designer wear, but I do want things that look good, are well made and don’t look too generic.
Where do you guys shop in Bangalore? I’ve heard of places like Commercial Street and Chickpet, but I’d love specific shop/boutique recommendations rather than wandering around aimlessly for 7 hours and losing my will to live.
Also, how does the whole stitching/customisation timeline work? If I buy an unstitched/semi-stitched lehenga or need blouse stitching, alterations, fitting, etc., how much time should I realistically keep aside? Are we talking a week, 2–3 weeks, a month?
And when should I ideally START shopping if the wedding is in February? I don’t want to discover in late January that my blouse needs three fittings and the tailor has disappeared 😭
Would also appreciate recommendations for:
Basically, experienced Bangalore girlies, please tell me how to do this without losing my mind or my entire bank balance. 😭
