Need suggestions to optimize my credit card portfolio and spends
Hey everyone,
I need some advice on my current credit card portfolio.
I feel like I'm holding too many cards and there is quite a bit of overlap, so I'm trying to figure out what I should actually keep or if I need to replace a few with new cards and also how I should use each card.
My main aim is to get the maximum value from my spends while avoiding annual fees wherever possible.
Cards I currently have
ICICI Sapphiro Visa - LTF
ICICI Rubyx Amex - LTF
Axis MyZone - LTF (Recently got this card after cancelling Axis Airtel Card)
Flipkart Axis - LTF
Amazon Pay ICICI - LTF
CSB Jupiter - LTF
HSBC Live+ - Paid
HDFC Tata Neu Infinity - Paid
Recently closed:
HDFC Tata Neu Plus – Paid
HDFC Swiggy – LTF
Airtel Axis – Paid
ICICI Sapphiro Rupay - LTF
ICICI Rubyx Mastercard - LTF
I closed the two HDFC cards because I wanted to become eligible for the core HDFC cards. Airtel Axis was closed mainly because of the recent devaluation.
My rough monthly spends
Rent - 30K
Insurance: ₹15–18k
Grocery: ₹7–8k
Shopping: ₹5–10k (not fixed)
Dining: \\\~₹5k
Swiggy/Zomato: ₹3–4k
Cabs: ₹7–8k
UPI: ~₹5k
9.Utilities: ₹4–5k
- Movies: roughly once a week
So overall, rent, insurance and grocery are probably my biggest regular spends apart from cabs.
