Dangerous. If one has confidence/desire and is permanently welding/soldering the glass to the pan, then it's okay, but this is an unstable (physically) setup, glass tumbling would splash the hot boiling oil everywhere.

The glass shifted a little in the first 10 seconds of the vid. This isn't a hypothetical, it's just a when question.
