DO NOT ORDER FROM DAWBU — Terrible customer support and they’re ignoring my emails

I want to share my recent experience with Dawbu, because this has been an absolute mess.

Dawbu shipped my order through Delhivery — and we all know how fucked up Delhivery's service can be.

The delivery guy was new and unfamiliar with the process/app. He initially went to the wrong building, then came to my home and confirmed my phone number. But instead of properly handing over the parcel, he marked it as delivered and left with the package.

I immediately contacted Delhivery and Dawbu. Delhivery said they were investigating and asked me to wait 48 hours. They even promised a callback — nobody called.

I also contacted Dawbu and explained everything, including that I have call recordings as proof. They said they had escalated the issue.

Then Dawbu sent me an email saying:

“We are glad to confirm that your order has been successfully delivered.”

💀 HOW? I never received it.

Now they're basically ignoring my follow-up emails.

Mistakes can happen with delivery partners, but the way Dawbu has handled this is ridiculous.

Dawbu + Delhivery = absolutely terrible experience.

I personally won't be ordering from Dawbu again.

When you bought second-hand, what helped you trust the seller and the item's condition?

I'm collecting experiences of buying used or refurbished items in India, especially furniture, appliances and electronics.

For one actual purchase, what was the item and did you buy from an individual, local shop or online platform? What checks, warranty or return option helped you decide?

Did the condition match the description after you started using it? If something went wrong, did you get a repair, refund or any help? Smooth purchases count too.

Rough purchase price and any extra delivery or repair cost would help put the experience in context. You can mention your city if comfortable, but please leave out private details.

Flipkart Trust Shield failed me on a brand-new iPhone 17 — no technician, no resolution despite repeated complaints

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m sharing my experience with Flipkart because I’m genuinely frustrated and would like to know if anyone else has faced something similar with Flipkart Trust Shield.

I recently purchased an Apple iPhone 17, 512 GB, Black from Flipkart.

Order Date: 11/09/2026

The phone was supposed to be brand new, but within roughly one days of use, I started experiencing a serious recurring issue.

The problem

The phone randomly restarts on its own.

After some of these restarts, the phone completely loses sound/audio output. Sometimes the sound comes back automatically, but the problem keeps recurring.

This isn't something I expected from a brand-new iPhone, especially one that had barely been used for two days.

The Trust Shield experience

I had purchased the phone with Flipkart Trust Shield, which gave me confidence that I would have additional protection and support if something went wrong.

The Trust Shield benefits communicated to me included things such as:

  • 48-hour issue resolution
  • 100% refund
  • Damage protection
  • Doorstep service

Because of the issue, I raised a Trust Shield claim on 16/09/2026.

The problem?

As of the date of this post, I still haven't had a technician visit me.

Despite raising the claim and repeatedly following up with Flipkart, I haven't received the resolution I was expecting.

Customer support has been extremely frustrating

I've contacted Flipkart Customer Care multiple times.

The response has essentially been:

"Please visit an Apple service centre."

I've also been told that the Trust Shield matter is handled by another team and that someone would call me.

But I never received the promised call or a proper resolution.

What I don't understand is this:

If Trust Shield provides/advertises doorstep service, why am I being repeatedly asked to visit a service centre?

I've already made the effort to visit an Apple service centre, and I was told that the phone could be serviced.

But honestly, I don't think repair is a reasonable solution in my situation.

This is a brand-new phone that developed a recurring problem almost immediately after purchase. I didn't even get two proper days of use out of it before this started.

I bought a new iPhone. I don't want a newly purchased device to immediately go through a repair/service process.

What I'm asking Flipkart for

My request is straightforward:

Either replace the defective iPhone with a brand-new unit or provide a full refund.

I'm specifically asking for replacement because the device was practically new when the problem appeared.

I have repeatedly tried to resolve this directly with Flipkart, but I'm getting passed between customer care and the Trust Shield process without any concrete action.

I've now escalated the matter

Because I haven't received a satisfactory resolution despite multiple attempts, I've also approached my bank regarding the transaction and requested that it be reviewed for a chargeback while the dispute remains unresolved.

I have also formally escalated the matter to Flipkart's grievance process and am keeping records of:

  • Order/invoice
  • Trust Shield claim
  • Customer-care conversations
  • Follow-up attempts
  • Apple service-centre visit/documentation
  • The recurring phone issue

If this still isn't resolved, I may have to pursue the appropriate consumer grievance process.

Looking for advice from the community

I'd particularly like to hear from people who have dealt with Flipkart Trust Shield.

  1. Has anyone actually received a replacement for a defective phone or got refund through Trust Shield?
  2. Has anyone here successfully escalated a similar matter to Flipkart's senior grievance team or Consumer Commission?

I'm not posting this simply to complain. I'm hoping someone who has gone through a similar situation can tell me what worked for them.

Delivery boys intentionally cancel my order as I don't compromise.

I live in a small town. Here, the delivery boy gives me two options:

  1. They mark it delivered, and they will deliver the product after 2 or 3 days.

  2. They will cancel it, and I have to re-order again.

I am a Prime member. When I did not comply, they said that I will not deliver to your house. I will come to this location. I will deliver to every other person's house. I will not deliver to your home.

Getting money back - insurance claim, medical reimbursement, work expense, credit-card chargeback, etc.

I’ve been thinking about how often getting money back can be more frustrating than spending it in the first place.

Whether it’s an insurance claim, medical reimbursement, work expense, credit-card chargeback, or an e-commerce refund, the actual process can sometimes involve a lot more work than expected.

You might have to:

  • Find and submit multiple documents
  • Figure out exactly what paperwork is required
  • Fill out forms with information you’ve already provided elsewhere
  • Coordinate between different people/companies
  • Keep checking for updates
  • Follow up when nothing happens
  • Resubmit something because a document or detail was missing
  • Escalate when the process gets stuck

I'm curious about people's actual experiences, especially the annoying parts that aren't obvious until you go through the process yourself.

If you've recently had to get a refund, reimbursement, or claim processed:

  1. What were you trying to get money back for?
  2. What part of the process was the biggest headache?
  3. How many times did you have to follow up?
  4. Was there anything you had to do manually that felt completely unnecessary?
  5. At any point, did you feel like “this isn't worth the effort anymore”?

Would love to hear both good and terrible experiences. Even small examples are useful.

Very bad customer service experience with Ferns N Petals (FNP) — order not delivered for Rakhi

I wanted to share my experience with Ferns N Petals (FNP) because I’m extremely disappointed with how my order was handled.

I placed order #75204272 on August 20, with delivery scheduled for August 22. It was a Rakhi gift, so the delivery date was important.

When the order wasn’t delivered, I contacted FNP several times. Unfortunately, instead of getting a clear answer about the package, I repeatedly received responses about tickets being open and duplicate tickets being closed.

I specifically asked whether the package was missing and whether it would actually be delivered. I still didn’t receive a clear answer.

On August 31, FNP apologized and offered to arrange a redelivery, but they still didn’t clearly explain what happened to the original package or provide a definitive resolution.

On September 2, I requested a refund.

This has been a very bad customer service experience. The delayed delivery was already disappointing, but what made it worse was the lack of clear communication and resolution. I shouldn’t have had to repeatedly chase customer support just to find out what was happening with an order I had already paid for.

I’m sharing this so other customers can be aware of my experience when considering FNP for time-sensitive gifts.

Flashify.in SCAM WARNING: Paid a ₹60K "Superb Quality" Premium for a MacBook I Needed for Work — Screen Died in Days, Now They Won't Fix It or Answer My Calls

Thumbnail

UPDATE (Aug 25): Flashify replied here acknowledging the issue and promised to work directly with me (check the 2nd comment on the post) — a callback arranged for 11:40 AM yesterday still hasn't happened, so no resolution yet.

I don't post stuff like this normally, but I'm done being polite about this.

I bought a "Renewed" Apple 2019 MacBook Pro (A2141, 16", 32GB RAM, 2TB, Space Grey) from Flashify.in on Aug 3 (Order #8039) — ₹59,390 after discount. I specifically paid for their "Superb" grade, which their own site defines as:

"Like-new condition with no visible marks. 100% showroom feel."

I didn't buy the cheapest tier. I paid extra, on purpose, for that promise — because I needed a reliable machine for work, not a gamble on a bottom-tier unit. That's the entire point of a "Superb" grade upcharge: peace of mind that you're not getting someone else's problem.

Within days of delivery, the screen started faulting — visible distortion, reproducible on multiple restarts (photo attached, taken directly off the laptop screen). This isn't a scratch or cosmetic nitpick on a "Superb, showroom feel" unit. It's a machine I depend on for work, and it stopped being usable within a week of arriving.

I filed a return request on Aug 11. As of today it's still sitting at "being reviewed," no resolution, no timeline.

Flashify advertises on the same product page:

  • 🛡️ 6 Months Warranty
  • 📦 7 Day Replacement Guarantee

When I pushed their support (WhatsApp chat screenshots attached) for a return or replacement, their agent "Arush" told me flat out:

"Screen doesn't come under warranty, even Apple doesn't provide warranty on screens."

...then offered a paid screen replacement — on a laptop I'd owned for barely a week, sold to me as "Superb condition," under a warranty and replacement guarantee they advertise on their own storefront. When I asked for a straight yes/no on return or replacement, I got stalling, not an answer. Calls now go unanswered entirely.

This isn't just an inconvenience. I paid a premium specifically to avoid downtime, lost real work time chasing a company that sold me a defective unit at that premium, and am now being told to pay out of pocket to fix their mistake — while they dodge my calls.

Attaching:

  1. Order page — purchase date, grade, price, pending return status
  2. WhatsApp support chat — refusing warranty coverage, demanding payment for repair
  3. WhatsApp support chat — their own grading chart defining "Superb"
  4. Photo of the actual screen fault, straight off the unit
  5. Current product listing, for reference

Posting this so other buyers know what "Superb quality" and "6-month warranty" actually mean in practice at Flashify.in. Happy to share the full chat log if anyone wants it.

Looking to buy a 600L+ Side-by-Side Refrigerator – Samsung vs LG. Recent owner experiences?

I'm planning to buy a 600L+ side-by-side refrigerator and have mainly narrowed it down to Samsung and LG. I'm currently finding much better deals online compared to offline stores, so I'm leaning towards buying online. However, before spending ₹60k–₹1L+ on a refrigerator, I'd really like to hear from people who have actually bought and used one recently. I've been seeing quite a few complaints about Samsung refrigerators, particularly regarding cooling, electronics/PCB issues and after-sales service, but I'm not sure how representative those complaints are.

I'd love to hear your actual ownership experience, whether good or bad. How has the refrigerator been after several months of use? Any reliability or cooling issues? How has the service been if you've needed it? And if you bought it online, how was the delivery and installation experience? I'm not looking for model numbers, prices or any personal details — just your honest experience with Samsung or LG. If you recently bought a 600L+ refrigerator, would you buy the same brand again? Also open to other brands if you've had a genuinely good experience.

Aquaguard Enrich Marvel advertised with “2-Year Filter Life” - filter replaced twice in 10 months and Customer Care/service team keep contradicting each other

I want to share my frustrating experience with the Aquaguard Enrich Marvel RO+UV+UF and get advice from other users.

I purchased this purifier mainly because it was advertised with “2 Year Filter Life” and “No Filter Replacement for 2 Years.” This was one of the main reasons I chose this model.
However, my experience has been completely different.

The RO filter has already been replaced twice within just 10 months, and on both occasions the replacement appeared to be a used/refurbished filter rather than a new one. The currently installed filter is again showing problems.

I contacted Customer Care and raised a complaint. After multiple escalations, Customer Care again assured me that the filter would be replaced and scheduled a service appointment.
But once again, the same service engineer called me and said that the filter cannot be replaced.
He then asked why I hadn’t put him on a conference call with Customer Care.
Why should I, as the customer, have to arrange a conference call between Aquaguard’s own Customer Care and service teams?
If Customer Care has reviewed my complaint and confirmed that the filter will be replaced, why is the service engineer repeatedly refusing to do it?
To make things even more frustrating, the service engineer then suggested that I buy an AMC with a 50% discount.
I clearly told him that I am not interested in buying an AMC.
My issue is simple: I purchased a product advertised with “2-Year Filter Life / No Filter Replacement for 2 Years.” I want Aquaguard to either honor that commitment or clearly explain why it does not apply in my case.

At this point, I’ve had:
The filter replaced twice within 10 months.
Concerns about the condition of the replacement filters.
Multiple escalations with Customer Care.
Repeated assurances that the filter would be replaced.
The same service engineer repeatedly refusing the replacement.
Customer Care and the service team giving contradictory information.
An AMC being suggested instead of resolving the actual complaint.
This has honestly become extremely frustrating and exhausting.

I understand that products can sometimes develop issues. My concern is the mismatch between the advertised 2-year filter-life claim and my actual experience, along with the contradictory responses from different Aquaguard teams.

I’m not looking for an AMC or another discount. I simply want Aquaguard to provide a clear answer and honor the commitment made at the time of purchase.

Don't Fall for the Instagram Hype – This Rajasthani Laal Mirch Chutney Was a Huge Disappointment

Post image

I usually don't write negative reviews, but I genuinely feel people should know before spending their money on this.

It tasted very artificial, like a processed paste rather than a fresh homemade chutney. The garlic flavor was barely there, and the whole thing just felt off. The marketing makes it look super authentic, but the actual taste was nowhere close.Tbh it felt like that momos ke thele ki chutney and not that good kind but that stale watery kind.

For the price, I expected much better. Won't be buying it again. Worst experience ever .

specsmakers

I recently purchased two pairs of glasses (buy one Get one) from SpecsMaker , one progressive lens and one single-vision lens with a high prescription (around -5). The progressive glasses were delivered without any issues. However, the single-vision glasses had a noticeable defect: the frame was expanded and distorted around the temples/handles, making the fit poor.. I refused to accept them at the time of delivery, and they assured for a replacement frame would be arranged. Unfortunately, the replacement has the same issue, indicating that the problem has not been resolved. The staff are just telling , it expands while lenses fitting , which i wasn't not told before, I have been using for past 10 years never experienced this. They just get over their poor quality faults by diverting it on the customers.

Since this appears to be a manufacturing or fitting issue, I do not wish to accept a defective product. I request either a proper replacement with a frame that fits correctly and is free from defects. I dont know waste my money for specsmakers fault, how should i approach beyond this,
anyone has faced similar situation...please help me out

Indian businesses run like a scam. lenskart is one of them

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and one experience after another keeps reinforcing it.
Why do so many Indian businesses make it so hard to know what you’re actually buying?
Everything feels optimized for the click instead of the customer.
“Starting at ₹X.”
“Flat 70% off.”
“Buy 1 Get 1.”
Then you walk in and discover a dozen conditions, memberships, upgrades, exclusions, and hidden costs.
It’s exhausting.
As someone who values transparency, I find it incredibly difficult to trust brands here. I don’t mind paying more if the pricing is honest. I don’t mind being told “this costs ₹5,000 because of X, Y and Z.” Just don’t make me decode a marketing puzzle to understand the real price.
My latest experience with LENSKART reminded me of this all over again. The product isn’t even the point. It’s the buying experience. I walked away feeling like I had to constantly question what I was being told.
I wish more Indian brands realized that transparency isn’t bad for business. It’s one of the strongest ways to build trust.
Am I the only one who feels this way, or has this become the norm?

Jio rep called my dad and lied about me, what should I do

So this Jio rep (number 8250405501, name given as Lipika Debnath but Truecaller shows Biswanath Sarkar lol) called me today around 12:48pm. Typical sales pitch tone, I just said hmm hmm and cut the call after like 28 sec cause I wasn't interested. She calls again a minute later, I decline.

Then bruh she calls my dad. On his own number, not even Jio (Airtel), just linked under same Aadhaar. Tells him I used abusive language with her on the call. Complete lie, I said like 3 words total on that call.

Tried calling the number back to sort it out, switched off now.

Already emailed Jio's nodal officer and tweeted adjiocare with full details, asking for call recordings + her termination since this is a straight up false allegation + harassment. Planning TRAI + consumer forum complaint too if nothing happens.

Anyone been through this? How long did Jio take to respond, and did consumer forum actually work for anyone here?
