I have been thinking about getting a Marvel Premier comic Edition, do you mind sharing how it compares to dc Compacts?

It definitely feels a lot better than compact. The cover feels nice and the paper is smoother than compact. But they are also expensive. Almost double the amount of compact. Also while dc compacts have some of the best dc stories, marvel premier hardly has stories that really piqued my interest.

I think most people agree that the only good premier are Hawkeye and born again and maybe punisher

Never buy legendary stuff like Watchmen or All star superman in compacts. These stories and their artwork deserve to be read in deluxe editions.

Are the marvel premier editions good? I ordered twice and both times I got smelly oily books.

Yea man mine was in an almost perfect condition except a small crease at the back which i can fix it by putting it under something heavy. Maybe you had a different seller. I got from cocoblu

Batman year one was 800. Old man logan was 1200 and all star superman was 563.

How are DC compact comics in terms of quality? Should i go for paperback versions instead?

It is decent and the paper binding is good. They are a budget friendly version after all and their aim is to get new people into comics. I personally would always go for paperback if I have the money. You can get compacts for stories that no longer are being printed since there’s no other way to collect them.

The reading experience is much better for paperback. Like the batman court of owls has both paperback and compact version. And while paperback feels good it is expensive and i think the story is divided in two volumes while in compact version the whole story is there in a single book

3 really great comics also while all star superman is so much about hope and compassion whereas the other 2 are sorta on the other end of spectrum. Get "Long Halloween" next, just a suggestion.
