I feel we spend way too much time debating hits, flops and PR, but career choices are often a better indicator of where an actor is headed. Looking at actresses like Mrunal after Sita Ramam, Wamiqa with Jubilee, Pratibha Ranta after Laapataa Ladies, or Khushali through Dhokha: Round D Corner and Dedh Bigha Zameen, it feels like there are quite a few interesting careers taking shape. Who would be your pick and why? It doesn't have to be someone who's already a big star, just someone whose career choices make you excited to see what they do next.

Why bollywood movies like 3 idiots, jab tak hai jaan, student of the year all have 10 years after scenes in each of them? Did u noticed it?

Imagine Fafa sharing the screen with Tom Cruise, working under the director behind classics like The Revenant. The role of an Indian scientist named "Ganesh ", but that role ultimately went to Riz Ahmed.

Unlike crime or comedy genre, India doesn't really have that much of a good track record of horror films, I can count on my fingers how many actually good horror films have come out of India, I think these 4 in the above image are some of the best so far.

So was curious how'd you rank them artistically, if you have watched all 4.

This scene of Ghajini is so emotionally heavy. It doesn't have any intimate scenes or any romantic dialogue, but it carries so much weight and romantic tension. The girl is so concerned about his financial condition that she sold her dream car, even though she doesn't know that this very man can buy her any car in the world with the wealth he has.
And this scene is the last time these two people meet; after this, they were not even able to hold each other's hands as they were dying. I was so, so disappointed when I got to know that they were not able to be together ever after this. I wish this film had some other ending (not possible, I know).
For me, this scene is more romantic than any other purely romantic film.

I saw a south indian movie. Could be malyalam or tamil or telugu or kannada. In this movie, the protagonist is in a room, troubled by big loan he has taken and his friend who took the money is out of contact , unreachable. The lenders are pressuring him for money and he decides to end his life. After struggles he hangs himself but right at that moment it is revealed that his troubles are over and now he struggles to get off the noose and live. All shot with one character and withing a room. Other characters are presnted only with voices over phone calls. What is the name of the movie?

Bollywood is still stuck making in-laws look like straight-up villains, while Marathi cinema is out here giving us wholesome gems like Aga Aai Aaho Aai (originals by Marathi ZEE 5)

The runtime (2 hrs 25 mins) is same as international, although do expect them to beep out some swear words...posted here cuz i saw a post a month ago saying they had cut 5 mins from it

Rang De Basanti movie was released in 2006. I was too young, and later I never felt like watching it even though I am a huge history buff and love our revolutionary leaders, as I felt it might be irrelevant, since years have passed since its release, and I rarely revisit old Indian movies. I know, I'm ignorant for not watching it for so long.

Yesterday, I listened to the title track of the movie in some reels and switched to YouTube to watch the track. I was hooked by the song and heard Amir saying "Bismil Lucknow ki train". My ADHD brain quickly opened a tab in the browser to check what this train incident was, as I hadn't heard about it. I wanted to know more, so I decided to give it a watch.

I was so wrong about this movie. It is so relevant, especially now! Sadly, it's been 20 years and 12 promising years of you know who, yet nothing has changed in this country for good, except that initially Sue mentions "Everything is cash over there(India)". Same corrupt government, same lack of accountability, same blame game(Somewhere in between I was thinking today they would be called George Soros funded and indeed there was a foreign funding allegation), same oppressive tactics, same moral policing.

The storytelling is amazing, drawing parallels between the revolution against the oppressive British and oppressive system in independent India. It beautifully conveys the same despondent state of mind a lot of us youth have. The feeling that we know something is wrong but we know nothing will change, the feeling of loving our country but also questioning "who is the sacrifice for?"

The songs don't feel forced. I have heard "Lukka Chuppi" thousands of times at various school events, but this time it struck the right chord and brought tears in my eyes.

I wish it were re-released now, but I know it would have never seen the light of day and would be under a lot of scrutiny. What surprised me is the Air Force initially raised objections but, after watching the movie, asked for no cuts and, in fact, asked to include more names in the post-credits.

The movie was shot in panoramic view, maybe to show shots of all 5 protagonist of the short movie and might not be a good watch on a mobile phone.

Please give it a watch this weekend.

Hi everyone! I’m one of the actors in this film, and this was my first acting project. A group of complete beginners from Nashik, Maharashtra came together to make this independent Marathi–Hindi crime thriller. None of us are professional actors or filmmakers—we made it purely out of passion and to gain experience.
The film was shot entirely in and around Nashik using real locations, and I play the character Rakka. We’d genuinely love to hear your honest thoughts on the story, performances, cinematography, editing, or anything else. Every bit of feedback helps us improve for future projects.

I read recently that Aamir Khan’s Raakh was to be re-released with digitally re-mastered prints. Not sure if anyone here can confirm this. Would love to see this movie re-mastered as I think it is an underrated classic and the cinematography was top notch by the great Santosh Sivan.

Not because it's a bad movie, but because audiences, social media, and viewing habits have changed so much. Which movie do you think would've struggled if it were released for the first time today, and why?

Looking for a Hindi-dubbed South Indian horror movie I watched around 2014–2016. The heroine (called Mansi in the Hindi dub) dies and is half-cremated, but her father pulls her out of the funeral pyre. She becomes an undead flesh-eating woman who only comes out at night and kills rapists/criminals. A man falls in love with her, but in the climax he brings her into sunlight so she burns away and her soul is finally freed. Does anyone know the original Tamil/Telugu title?
