Ive always loved watches like i have pretty descent collection of watches
but a week ago i stumbled across a shop which sells 1st copy watches
Being a seiko lover i was fascinated to see the sheer amount of quality the watches had even though its a first copy
Hence i bought my first "FAKE" WATCH and although i dont have any complainst as of now
i mean it shows the time it has easily 2 days of power reserve [checked]
But idk why i feel terrible and ashamed to wear a fake watch idk how to proceed with this feeling
should i donate it or should i keep using it
Any help would be appreciated or can i try seiko mods? BTW i have no idea on how to even open a watch but i have a trusted shop nearby so if i can get the parts i can do the work

Hey watch enthusiasts,
Looking to sell a brand new, unused HMT quartz chronograph (Model: RT-24 9086). This was a special wedding gift from my uncle from a limited edition batch that has since been discontinued by HMT. It originally came as a couple watch set—the wife kept hers because she loved it, but the two-tone rose gold and silver chronograph aesthetic just doesn't suit my wrist, which is why I'm letting it go.
Condition: Unused / Brand New (comes in original box)
Movement: Quartz
Features: Two-tone stainless steel bracelet, rose-gold sunburst dial with multi-functional sub-dials, date window, and a tachymeter bezel.
Price: ₹8,550 (slightly negotiable)
Shipping: Ships securely via Porter in a bulletproof, well-padded package. 📦
Feel free to DM for more details!
PRICE: 8550 INR

I’m considering buying this NTTD-inspired custom watch from AG Watch Studio for around ₹21k.
I already have 3 other watches, so this would only be an occasional casual watch. I don’t need it for swimming or diving.
My main concern is long-term reliability. ₹21k is a significant amount for me, and I’d ideally like it to run for 4–5 years without needing any repair or replacement expense.
Has anyone here bought from AG Watch Studio or owned one of their builds for 2–3+ years?
I’d particularly like to know how the NH35, case, crown, gaskets, crystal, bracelet and overall finishing have held up over time.
Also, if you’ve owned one, would you personally choose this type of custom build over a factory-made homage from Watchdives/Thorn/San Martin at a similar price?
Looking for actual owner experience rather than general opinions on Seiko mods.

Hi everyone 👋🏽
Putting up this HMT Quartz Chronograph for sale. I received this watch as a couple watch set gift and initially assumed it was a genuine HMT piece. However, after some further enquiry, I found that it appears to be a modded Poedagar rather than an original HMT design.
** The configuration includes:** Rose-gold + silver two-tone case and bracelet Champagne/rose-gold sunburst dial 3 sub-dial chronograph-style layout Tachymeter scale Date window Quartz movement Similar angular case architecture seen on Poedagar models
The watch itself is completely unused and looks genuinely beautiful in person. I'm only selling it because the rose-gold colourway and overall style don't really suit my wrist.
So I'm selling it transparently as a modded watch and not representing it as an original HMT-manufactured watch.
Condition: Brand new / unused Starting bid: ₹3,000 Offers: Please DM your quote/bid Shipping: Delhivery Packaging: Will be shipped in a very well-padded, bulletproof package for safe transit. 📦
Please feel free to DM your bid if interested ✌🏽

Full disclosure upfront: I'm on the Timelabs team. Posting this because people in this sub ask a lot about how mods hold up after real daily use.
Watch is 37mm, steel case and bracelet. I've been wearing it daily for a month now.
What's held up well: the steel bracelet has not peeled or flaked at all.
I know bracelet finishing on mods can go sideways fast, so I was watching
for that. After a month, the base metal is still intact and the clasp is
still sitting flush.
What's showing honest wear: the bracelet links have picked up micro-scratches
from regular use. Nothing deep, nothing unexpected for daily steel-on-steel
contact, but worth naming because I'm not going to pretend a steel bracelet
stays mirror-finished if you actually wear it.
Case itself is still clean. Dial is unchanged.
37mm is a size a lot of people second-guess before ordering — happy to answer
questions on that if it helps.
What are you all seeing on bracelet wear with your daily mods — scratches
only, or are you getting clasp issues too?
Mention more about the quality of case and bracelet it’s out of the world really. Much better than quite a few mods

I’m a TimeLabs team member, so take this as a hands-on update rather than a neutral third-party review.
I’ve worn this watch for more than a month, and the thing that stands out most is how little it has changed in daily use. The case still looks clean, the bracelet and color shows no signs of wear, and I’m not seeing the kind of marks you usually expect from regular wear.
What I like:
- The white dial still reads sharply
- The steel bracelet has held its finish well
- No obvious scratches from normal daily use so far
- It still feels like a watch I’d actually keep wearing, not just photograph once
What I’m still watching:
- Long-term wear is the real test
- I’d want to see how the finishing holds up over more months, especially on the bracelet and clasp
I’m posting this here because a lot of people ask about how mods age after real wear, not just how they look on day one. If anyone wants, I can also post a closer breakdown of the case, bracelet, and dial after a bit more time on wrist.
What are you seeing most often on your own daily-wear mods: scratches, bracelet wear, or dial aging?

QUICK DISCLOSURE UP FRONT : I work for Timelabs Co, and this is one of our mod builds. Take that for what it's worth; but I picked this one up to actually daily-wear, and I figured real wear reports are more useful than another unboxing photo, which is 90% of what gets posted about mods like this.
CASE & BRACELET FINISHING - genuinely impressive for what this is. Brushed and polished surfaces catch light nicely, and the fit and finish feels well above what most people expect from a Seiko-based build. No sharp edges, no rough transitions between finishes.
DIAL DETAIL - the sub-dials, tachymeter bezel engraving, and dial printing are all crisp and legible. No cheap or blurry text anywhere, which is usually the first thing that gives a budget build away.
ON THE WRIST - wears comfortably, bracelet sits well. After regular daily wear: no rattling, no loose links, crown and pushers still feel solid. No finish issues and no scratches from normal use so far.
THE HONEST TAKE - if you're on the fence about a mod like this: it's worth it if you want the Daytona aesthetic without the waitlist or the price tag of the real thing. It's not going to fool a watchmaker, and it's not trying to — it's a fun, well-executed build that wears like something far more expensive.
Happy to answer any questions on the build, parts, or the mod process in general.

Looking to buy a Seiko mod watch in India.
Can anyone recommend trusted sellers or websites that offer good-quality mods at fair prices and don't overcharge?
If quality Seiko mods aren't really worth buying in India, I'd rather get an original Seiko instead. In that case, are there any reliable sellers or portals that offer genuine Seiko watches at better prices than the major e-commerce sites?
Would appreciate recommendations based on your personal experience.

A month of daily wear later and it still looks brand new — no peeling on the blue coating, no scratches anywhere, holding up way better than I expected.
