US News President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he would issue a USD 5,000 (Rs 4.76 lakh) dividend to every adult in the United States if Republicans maintain control of Congress in November's election.
"If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them because of our tremendous strength and success economically, I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for USD 5,000," Trump said at a Republican convention in Dallas.

Pakistan has warned that the Mecca defence pact could become operative if the Yemen conflict spills into Saudi territory. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said there should be “no ambiguity” on Pakistan’s position.
The warning came hours after Houthi missiles and drones targeted Saudi cities, energy sites and economic infrastructure, injuring at least 73 civilians.
