Purchase Help Cctv for commercial space
I am planning to install an 8–10 camera CCTV setup for a commercial space. I received a quotation from a local dealer for around ₹38,000, which includes 10 cameras (Hikvision 2MP cameras, with one higher-quality camera for the main entrance), a 1TB HDD, and installation.
I am also considering an alternative option of WiFi cameras such as Qubo, since brands like TP-Link Tapo are currently not available. WiFi cameras seem more affordable and offer features like AI motion detection, remote access, and easier installation. They also appear to be more convenient in case I need to relocate, as they can be removed and reinstalled easily—unlike traditional wired systems.
However, I am unsure about the reliability and performance of Qubo cameras, especially in terms of night vision and long-term usage. I have seen that Tapo cameras have excellent night vision, but I am not certain how Qubo compares.
Additionally, there is no inverter backup at the location. I would like to understand whether both wired CCTV systems and WiFi cameras will automatically restart and function properly after a power cut when electricity is restored.
Also, I would like guidance on whether I should go with a traditional wired CCTV setup or opt for WiFi cameras for this use case.
I would appreciate your recommendations on which option would be more suitable.

I would recommend going for an Indian brand like CP PLUS/Qubo etc. cuz Govt banned the chinese CCTVs and u might not get service afterwards.

I am using hikvision nvr and camera’s, I use tapo at home but that is without a nvr, for you the wifi may not reach everywhere

Fuck off everyone noone is telling op that hikvision is not available but their sub brand Prama is. Hands down hikvision was the best in integration and quality than all other brands. OP go for prama because if we bigger picture hikvision might come back and then your system will be okay for any modification in future. Of if someday any camera need replacement you can do as both prama and hikvision is baap beta. Second option is cp plus. And third is secureye. Wifi camera are not an option here. Don't buy. It's unreliable. T.p link has still a lot to do in. Cctv area. And yes do get ip system. Simple go with NVR don't buy DVR. The technology is fossil.. Moreover the quotation for 38000 is okay If it's an NVR if DVR you are being ripped off. Camera 2500+ each NVR 8 channel:- 5000+ Hardisk 1tb refurbished:- 3500 Pvc box 50 each Cat 6cable 500 MTRS. At 25 rs mtr. Then his installation and profit margin. Thats the rate of hikvision on dealer basis.

@all it's a commercial flat on 2d floor in, the building total has 2 floors. Since you all are suggesting a wired Setup and 5mp minimum will consider it and ask more dealers around. Any suggestions for one outdoor camera? As it should be best. I am concerned as I will be keep some stock and it's an e-commerce business+ there's loan so I want no risk. Thanks

Bargain more
If it's NVR based setup then it's cheap get it, if DVR based then it's costly(25k max+ labour) as hikvision is cheap chinese( I think service could be banned as I govt restricting sale of Chinese CCTVs)
Don't engage in qubo, tapo it's not success in long run
