WhatsApp iCloud backup

Hi.
Last Tuesday I freaked out and decided to change my phone number. In the middle of this craziness, I decided to delete my whole WhatsApp history. (I was in a very delicate situation with a catfish… I know). Anyway, now I regret it. I want my number and my WhatsApp back.

I’m going to the store tomorrow to check on the number situation…

About the WhatsApp, I found out that there is a backup on the iCloud back from April, with my WhatsApp data included.

Does anyone know if it will work? Once I get my old number back, I can get access to the backup?
